I agree, give him #28 if he wants it. Green was great, but you can't retire everything. Kilmer & Williams wore 17, but it's still used. Nelms, Allen and Byner wore #21, but Smoot still wears it. Talbert & Manley wore #72, Ken Houston wore #27...the list goes on and on.

Baugh's is officially retired, maybe retire 44, 81, 42 and 9 (I guess maybe even #28)...but put 7, 49, 43 and whatever else back out there. As much as I loved Larry Brown, I'd love to see some great back wearing it...just for old time's sake.

i think a player making a big deal over a number is just as much nonsense as retiring numbers(but we've already been there :lol: ). it is what it is, a number.
