Physically, I think RGIII was at least 95% healthy in 2013 (which is plenty good to go for any NFL player). Mentally, he was more like 20% healthy. He didn't trust the knee, and the brace only served as a constant reminder of the injury, which exacerbated the issue. As a result, he developed bad habits, and the whole thing snowballed on him. Regardless, none of that absolves MS from his role and culpability in the whole affair, and no amount of finger pointing now changes that.

I only saw the title, I did not read any comments.

I honestly don't even care to see RG3's name in here anymore.

I wish him nothing but bad luck with the browns (except injuries).. if you're not here, I'm not rooting for you.

We've already discussed the RGIII healthy thing --- so no need to bring it back up. I do agree with you on the mental side and how it developed bad habits and the snowball effect.

Regardless, I think we just disagree on the level of culpability between MS and Danny boy/RGIII. I put MS at around 20% and Danny boy/RGIII at 80%. But still, 20% is a good deal.

Too much to be playing the victim, like he is.

Hopefully, the 2013 season keeps Mike out of the HOF

 whatever - equally 'meaningful' ....

a little bit like discussing who was more at fault for the complete shambles that involved the drafting, coaching and play of RG3

Snyder, Shanahan and Griffin all played their parts

this kid is now playing for another franchise - the only reason I hope he plays well is to show how stupid some fans were in their judgement

he's gone, it's over - all 3 screwed up and hurt this franchise

Snyder and Shanahan were both grown men. Who drafted a young man in Griffin who is still a young man. A young college grads character is being shaped in the first few years.
We were all young once. We all know our minds are impressionable at such an age. Coming into an organization such as our Redskins which for the past 20 years has been a shell of its former glory.

Snyder is Snyder. Has no clue footballwise. Probably a micromanaging meddler. Shanahan knew this beforehand.

Shanahan however has been around the block more then once. Shanahan had to deal with AL Davis who was even worse. Davis would call down his own plays during games.
While I don't believe Shanahan intended for Griffin to get hurt. Ultimately it was Shanahans decision that led to Griffin being injured.
Shanahan had good intentions and gave it an honest effort. Truth be told. Shanahan was great with strategy and Xs and Os. Terrible with drafting other then Rbs. Ironically the Qb he didn't want got him to the playoffs.

Snyder and Shanahan were both grown men past there forties. Bringing a young man into the NFL.

Griffins problem was he started to believe his own hype. With the help of Danny boy turned him into a media monster.

Which all comes back to our Redskins. Who owns the team? Daniel Snyder.

If you guys have noticed that after each bad season daring back a while now Snyder was forced to hire a new coach due to fans anger.

Norv Turner, Schottenheimer, Spurrier, Gibbs, Zorn, Shanahan. Finally after all these years he decided to hire a real GM in Scott M.

Griffin shares the least of the blame. Other then being an egomaniac created by us and the media and an enabling owner.

Either way he's gone. He's a Brown now! Get over it Mike.
Mike damn near ruined this kids career yet he still goes on bitter.
