Being better than Reed who often completely whiffs on his blocks isn't saying much. When Reed isn't completely missing on his blocking assignment, he's holding. Thankfully, it appears he's either corrected his holding issues OR he's just not blocking. LOL

That being said, Niles wasn't that great of a blocker last year. Neither was Paulsen. We just went from passable to absolute ineptitude. I believe that an emphasis will be made to improve our TE position this offseason, beyond simply getting guys back from injury.

1. I don't care about the Dallas game so I'd rest everyone who needed a rest and perhaps Kirk. However, if the guys where embarrassed by Dallas and want to avenge their loss that is a different matter.

2. I would not release Griffin until after the season. It is going to pain some of the fans when it happens don't spoil the division title and playoff buzz by doing that now. After the season is over is the time to let him go so he can seek an opportunity elsewhere.

I heard one of the radio guys point out that realistically the team can rest maybe 7 players at most. Still need to suit up enough players to get through the game.

I'm probably most curious to see if Trent plays. Heard an interview with him yesterday and it just sounded to me like he would be happy to take that game off and be rested up. I agree with him that he's not a guy where you have to worry about rust.

One other interesting note about Sunday. I hear Greg Hardy needs 2 sacks to meet a contract incentive for $500K. 4 more sacks and he'll net an extra $1m.

Still incentive for some of these Pukes this weekend.

Are the Skins going let Morris try the free agent market and make Jones the main RB?

If Trent doesn't play, I would not play Cousins, especially with Hardy having incentives to make a charge. Also, I would keep Reed out.

Not sure about TW, but Gruden just announced that Cousins will start.

Good question. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see the team take another RB in the draft. Definitely a position where you can find starters later in the draft.

That's going to be a hard call. On one hand, he hasn't been very effective this year at all. On the other hand, I like to see the team taking care of our own guys. Coaches and GM hopefully know best what's going on with Alf. Is it the player or is the play around him?

Not sure about Morris but I do know that the O line under Callahan has been better this season and should be a bigger help next season

Having a good run game next season will be a big deal and I feel Morris will not cost a lot to bring back and will benefit with a better O line

RB position looming bleak after being a strength in the off season:

Matt Jones- hip injury, still in a lot of pain
Pierre Thomas- injured knee(!) during NFCEast title game
Alfred Morris- Stuck in quick sand

That leaves us Chris Thompson... Great pass catching RB. Has been dinged up as of late too.. interesting to see who gets the most carries.

In the most recent draft if other teams in front of us had used Scot's board then we would have picked Gurley.

That's sort of what I was thinking too, SJ. If they can bring back Morris at a reasonable cost, seems like it would be the best situation for both Morris and the team.

Offensive line is well coached, young and talented with a season under their collective belt. Really just need to fix the center position. That's some of the best news to come out of this year.

Back to Alf. Would Morris still be worth a contract comparable to what CJ Spiller signed last year with the Saints? "C.J. Spiller signed a 4 year, $16,000,000 contract with the New Orleans Saints, including a $5,000,000 signing bonus, $9,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $4,000,000. In 2015, Spiller will earn a base salary of $750,000 and a signing bonus of $5,000,000. Spiller has a cap hit of $2,000,000 while his dead money value is $5,750,000."

Morris is younger and healthier. He's played two less years in the league than Spiller, a first round pick, but has 4600yds/29 TDS/11 fumbles to Spiller's 3400yds/12 TDs/14 fumbles. Those stats don't lie.

Hard to know the answer there, so I will be interested to see how the team feels about Morris.
