Being that I still respect the person, who even in street clothes is giving back to fans daily, and at every game... Helping make some lifelong memories for fans, particularly young fans.. I have no problem supporting him. I'd hate for him to become a puke, but alas it's out of my control.

I hope that RGIII becomes a great NFL QB but I would never be hoping he'd do well against the Redskins - NEVER

In fairness, if RGIII went to Dallas, he might become a Cowboy killer for a different reason . . .

I think Griffin would do really well playing on the artificial turf in Dallas. Seems like that would be really good for him. /sarcasm.

Griffin will get a lot of interest but most of it will be media driven - I doubt that there are many franchises that will really be interested

I would hate for him to be in the NFC East but stranger things have happened

It does seem like Philadelphia could be a realistic spot depending on what coach they hire. I would bet Griffin would be a more affordable option to sign than Bradford right now.

My only frustration is the lies being told!!! that's it...sports is a game, truth telling is the only thing I am interested in
as you said Shark!! outsiders bring the unique other perspective you may not have? so when it comes to topics that
are related to the NFC East and as long as they stay within those type threads, commentary such as Jerruh is a total
and complete tool is something that should be accepted..because it's something we agree on, it's not a new and startling
revelation that suddenly this is the case? There are only a hand picked few "old timers" that know this to be the case!!!

not the wagon jumpers of the 90's or the idiots convoluted by the media and it's lying propaganda machine that
feds the mass mindless with lies and ways to cover up those lies, only to run on here and regale you with tales
of how Romo is "elite" and how Dallas is a winner because they won a few games here and there

I am old school..I believe wholeheartedly that the only winners worth praising? are the 2 super bowl winners
of the 70's and the 90's Cowboys, after that I am not interested!! you can't tell me otherwise because till I see
a ring? it just ain't true

this is why? many like their censorship so much!! this is why I am unpopular and don't care, the day I become
Willy Wonka and sugar coat *sh$t* I might as well just hang it up and end it all!! of course not going to happen no
worries but you get the point (I hope) anyways back on track with the topic at hand no more delaying this thread
any longer carry on

I think we have gotten a little off track here. This took an unfortunate turn.

I notice I got no traction with this one:

How cool would it be if the DB we JUST picked up played an important role in the coming weeks?

Redskins sign veteran cornerback Cary Williams

5:12 PM ET
ESPN.com news services

Cornerback Cary Williams signed with the Washington Redskins on Tuesday.

Williams was a seventh-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2009. He played in four games as a rookie before he was cut the following year. He went on to play four seasons for the Baltimore Ravens and two for the Philadelphia Eagles before signing a three-year, $18 million deal ($7 million guaranteed) with the Seattle Seahawks last offseason.

Williams, 31, was cut by Seattle after playing in 10 games. Seahawks coach Pete Carroll benched him during a Week 11 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, and Williams was replaced by DeShawn Shead and was inactive the next two games before he was released in December.

Williams regularly has made headlines for his outspoken nature. With the Eagles, he said that coach Chip Kelly's practice tempo was wearing down his players and called the Patriots "cheaters" before a scheduled joint practice with New England. After he was cut by the Eagles in March and signed with the Seahawks, he said in a radio interview that Kelly's team was "outcoached" in 2014.

a slight detour that needed clarification as I said before Shark it's what needed to be said and now time to
move on..and so the big talk of RGIII possible going to Dallas?? personally hope and pray it doesn't happen
the guy to me isn't that good a QB I'd rather have Kaepernick, trade for Stafford before I even begin to
entertain thoughts of RG wearing the uniform of the "Cowboys"

Now if he is willing to downgrade to another position as I stated in another thread?
DB possible WR I might be willing to accept and try that experiment out for a little
while my only legit concerns is his health and age? and so I could only hope that
Jerruh if he does this is willing to only do a 1 year deal with an immediate clause
of early release if at anytime during the year he is not showing signs he is working
out

OK but the fact remains, we do not really have any idea on what progress he's made, if any - I'm sure the lack of contact has been helpful but is he really in great shape and most importantly where is he mentally with regards to his ability to play the QB position and his mental confidence to do both of those at a high level

I still think that Griffin has an enormously high ceiling but I am not as convinced as I was that he fully understands what it will take to get there

Hopefully he can find a way to play at a high level and not be the waste of time & energy like so many other talented players were before him
to me the NFL is better off with players like Griffin showcasing their incredible talents, not wasting them

I ALSO hope he can because it will show the haters that that is all they are - low lifers

Actually it doesn't in your case..see it requires living through an era
where there was such a thing as being no nonsense. Landry was great
at displaying this squared faced jaw, never smiled, flinches or is rattled
attitude it comes with age and maturity I'd cut you a break seeing as
how your probably a teen or young adult but if I can't cut myself any
slack then I sure can't cut you any

A good joke doesn't require an explanation, but seeing as you are a Cowpie fan, I will make the attempt. We have a member here named Old school, who's posts I often find to be useless to the conversation. And, from your posts, I'm fairly certain that I'm older than you.

I can't confirm or deny that there is such a person with that screen name posting here on this
site..so will have to take your word for it, but the age issue well I maybe older than you or I
may not? either way age is a # totally irrelevant to the proceedings of this thread

so perhaps we can get back on track to the discussion at hand so others can join in on
the merriment

while most of OldSchool's posts were often almost offensive and nonsensical he has recently almost become a contributor here ....

the same cannot be said of this puke fan ...

btw - I do hope to see some good play from our defensive backfield this Sunday and Williams might be a little motivated to get a shot here

Yes, because this puke fan as you call him, is dead serious
isn't offensive or nonsensical..he doesn't have the give and
take required ( oh wait he does) scratch that, all he does is
spoils our fun around here by telling it like it is!! doesn't seem
to have a care in the world

but the offensive and nonsensical member is the contributor??
yeah OK next

Actually, you can easily confirm the poster's existence. And you were the one to bring up the age thing, but I agree, like most of your posts, it is "totally irrelevant to the proceedings of this thread."

I wouldn't say that. Here's some TGN history...... SkinsJock is still butt hurt about how Oldschool called the Cousins>RGIII thing over a year ago (maybe even longer). SkinsJock is RGIII's #1 fanboy and Oldschool was adamant about why Cousins was better. He was rash and came across very angry --- to the point his opponents (RGIII fanboys) would have considered it obnoxious (but in no way "offensive" unless you are a child). The RGIII fanboys unified together and slammed Oldschool pretty hard for his anti-RGIII and pro-Cousins posts. At the end of the day, he ended up being dead on correct (for the most part). So now, people are warming up to him and Oldschool has become less "angry" in his posts since he's less frustrated.

All in all, I'm glad it worked out. The crazies on this board have driven away a couple TGN posters that were pretty solid.

"a rose by any other name still smells the same" ...

OS's early posts were nonsensical ... (actually, I must confess, I stopped reading them for a while, they were so bad - so maybe not all of them were complete trash  ) that Cousins became a lot better QB in a season than I thought possible is now a fact - nobody with any knowledge would have thought that was possible - good for Cousins ...

there are still some of us that think that Griffin can play QB well in the NFL and there are still 3-4 here that do not believe that is the case

we shall see ... I've got my fingers crossed for him and I will keep those idiots up to speed on what happens

possibly Jon & Jay both ... and maybe the other offensive coaches at TC this season

you're right as usual - I should have said "nobody with any knowledge here or outside of the Redskins facility ... "

with this new tidbit hitting the wires today, maybe Jon Gruden will take Griffin under his wing .... some here would love to see him get crushed twice a year in an eagles uniform ...
