Only for a good price and because im curious to see with a new strength coach hoping the injuries wont be a problem and with a new DC to see if he can develop a technique other than bull rushing..
Id say for us something like a 2 year, 10 million with 4 of it guaranteed would be ok. Rak probably thinks he can get more than that and he is likely right.... but any more than that and id rather use a draft pick
I didn't know he had a bull rush. I thought all he had was the too-slow-outside-duck-under.

Darnell Docket is set to hit free agency. I woner how much he has left in the tank? If Docket can be had for a reasonable price it might be worth a look.
Anybody else kind of surprised that Chris Chester hasn't been cut? I was reading today something along the lines of "the coaches have a higher opinion of him than the fans do".

I think he's washed up. Old and lost a step or two.

I read that last season, too.

MMQB is doing a breakdown this week of the top 100 free agents and which teams they fit best. Thought their picks for the Redskins might interest you:
#41. Clint Boling OG, Cincinnati (Age 26)
Developed into a good run-blocking guard but has struggled in pass blocking. Smart and tough, he became a valuable part of a very good Bengals offensive line. Best fit: Washington. Jay Gruden is the former Bengals offensive coordinator, so he knows the calming influence Boling can have.
58. Frank Gore RB, San Francisco (Age 32)
Is up there in age but has had four straight 1,000-yard seasons and eight in his last nine. Incredibly tough and powerful runner who’ll help somebody. Best fit: Washington. New GM Scot McCloughan knows Gore, who’ll be the type of leader to help revive the franchise.
#61. James Carpenter G, Seattle (Age 26)
Didn’t come close to living up to being the 25th overall player drafted in 2011 and really struggles to sustain in the run game. But the physical skills are there. Best fit: Washington. It needs help on the offensive line, and GM Scot McCloughan was in Seattle when the Seahawks drafted Carpenter.
#92 Jermey Parnell OT Dallas (Age 28)
Former basketball player and defensive end wasn’t made a full-time OT until 2010 with Dallas. Brought along slowly, was decent fill-in for injured Doug Free. Best fit: Washington. Big needs on the line, and new OL coach Bill Callahan knows Parnell from Dallas.
None of the top 40 players eh? Any of these guys you would be interested in?
Bringing Frank Gore in wouldn't surprise me in the least btw.

He's a little long in the tooth for a RB. I don't think we particularly need, or want, his services.
Still rushed for more yards than Morris last year! 1000+ in eight of the last nine seasons. That guy is a beast.
I'm not saying we should sign him just that it won't surprise me if we do. He's a guy who can still play AND provide some needed leadership on a young team. Plus McGloughan loves him.

Free Agency Guide: Redskins
Biggest needs
Safety: According to Football Outsiders' DVOA (defense-adjusted value over average) metric, Washington had the NFL's worst pass defense in 2014. Now Ryan Clark has retired, and Brandon Meriweather is a free agent. Washington's top safeties under contract are Duke Ihenacho (whose last start came with Denver in the Super Bowl loss to Seattle) and Trent Robinson (one NFL start in his three-year career).
Cornerback: We repeat: By our metrics, Washington had the NFL's worst pass defense in 2014. They were in the bottom five in coverage against No. 1 wide receivers, No. 2s, all other wideouts and tight ends. At 32 and coming off Achilles tendon surgery, DeAngelo Hall is no guarantee to make the team. 2013 second-rounder David Amerson is also on the chopping block.
Offensive line: All five starters could return, and their average age will be just 28.6 in 2015, but there is room for improvement here. Washington was 19th in adjusted line yards (which measures a team's run-blocking ability) and 27th in short-yardage running.

Top targets
Dawan Landry, S: The Redskins' secondary (and maybe the entire defense) needs a major overhaul. Landry isn't a big name, but he is reliable and consistent. There might not be a team that blew more coverages last year than Washington. "Reliable and consistent" is exactly what this group needs.
Jason Worilds, OLB: Brian Orakpo is likely to be playing elsewhere next season, and the Redskins need an edge player to add to the mix with Ryan Kerrigan and Trent Murphy. Worilds' open-market demands might be lofty after he received the transition tag last year, but there are a lot of edge players available, which could drive his demands down to some degree.
Clint Boling, G: Defense should be the Redskins' top free-agent priority, but they are also quite weak at guard, and right tackle as well, depending on how well Morgan Moses progresses in his second year. Jay Gruden is quite familiar with Boling from their time together in Cincinnati, and he fits the mauling style needed for this offensive system.
--Matt Williamson
Predictions
1. They'll let Orakpo walk: He'll be 29 and coming off his third torn pectoral muscle since early in the 2012 season. They drafted Murphy in the second round last year, and if they don't view him as a solid replacement, the top of the draft is loaded with edge pass-rushers.
2. They will be active in free agency: The Redskins freed up cap space and now have approximately $25 million available, with the ability to free up more with pay cuts or outright releases. They will be linked to some big names, and their new-stated belief in building through the draft -- general manager Scot McCloughan's desire -- will be tested. But they have enough holes that can't be filled through the draft alone.
3. They will focus on the secondary: The Redskins have only two safeties signed for 2015 and the draft is thin at this position (and cornerback). It's tough having two inexperienced safeties, so signing one in free agency is a must. A veteran right tackle is a possibility, too (Dallas' Doug Free played for Redskins line coach Bill Callahan).

Ive been fairly anti-big signing... but if we do sign a bigger contract, it really needs to be safety. Its our biggest need by far, and its the most lacking position in the draft this year. Corner we have breeland and amerson and hopefully hall, not perfect but better than nobody like in safety... d line is full of talent in draft, as is linebacker and even o line to an extent.
Prowl33 wrote:Ive been fairly anti-big signing... but if we do sign a bigger contract, it really needs to be safety.
I'm with you 100% man. If they believe he's good enough, I wouldn't have a problem with their spending big money on Rahim Moore. He's only 25 years old.

Whats that's famous @KingJames line??? "I'm taking my talent too......." #ToBeContinued
That one boggles my mind. Not quite sure what any team is basing that decision on. Maybe he's joining Shanahan in Atlanta!
Hankerson's twitter is pretty awesome btw. Egregious misuse of "to" and "too" all over the place.

Chiefs are expected to release Dwayne Bowe tomorrow. Wonder if picking him up for a good deal (2 year 6mill maybe?) Would allow us to move on from Garcon, and spend more on free agents... or lock in extensions with Kerrigan and Williams like we are looking to do.
