I suppose they can be in my bottom 6. Those 2 SB losses will rankle forever and I've written tomes on my Raven hate.

Adopting, trading.......it's still nonsense to me.

I'd say people born between 1984 and 1996 should never consider themselves "lifelong Ravens fans". Because for me, being born in 86, we had HTS (HOME TEAM sports), which consisted of the Orioles, Redskins, Caps, and Bullets...that was what I considered my home teams. Never wavered on any of them. But the massive turn over of Skins fans to Ravens fans after their first and most recent Super Bowl win was pretty disgusting. And their fans are a LOT worse than any Cowboys fan I've ever been around.

I'm not sure how I could agree with you any more vigorously.

I guess there's a whole lot of nonsense going on then because I'm watching the playoffs and, like most people (I think), I usually find myself wanting one of the teams involved to win more than I want the other one.
All the while, the Redskins remain my favorite team. Trouble is, they aren't playing and I love football.
Silly me.

I have a rotation. I cheer for whoever is playing the 'pukes or the gnats.

I'd like to see three out of the current eight playoff teams gone. Haven't really enjoyed a Super Bowl in a few years now as the forces of evil have prevailed again and again. We need one of the underdogs to step up and restore cosmic justice to the league.

I don' t understandt why so many are dead set for having a second team. If you want to only pull for one team I get it but chastising someone for having a second team is just obnoxious. Unless your second team is The Raven, then you're a backstabbing Benedict Arnold.

Last week I was a Lions fan.
This week I am a MASSIVE Packers fan.
I guess I'm not alone in hoping they can overcome both the Cowgirls powerful offense and their even more powerful set of match officials on Sunday...

I just want to be able to relax when I watch the Super Bowl. At a minimum, that means the Cowboys and Ravens aren't in it. This could be a great week if they are both sent home. Then the bonus round is if Seattle somehow doesn't make it past the NFC bracket. (Though if I'm honest a Seattle SB victory feels almost inevitable at this point, to me anyway.)
Ideally, it means I'm watching the Packers and someone else — maybe the Broncos? — play. I'm not holding my breath for that one.

Packers-Pats is the most realistic "no bad guys" Superbowl for me. With the Packers winning, of course. But I'd take the Colts or the Panthers in there as well. Cowgirls need to get embarrassed, as do the Ravens this weekend to make me truly happy. Seahawks need to get beat, as well, I'm really sick of them.

So with you, man. A Seahawks upset by the Panthers this weekend would be epic. I love the idea of the Cowboys getting completely embarrassed in Green Bay too. They're due some serious karmic payback after stealing that game from the Lions.
At the end of it all, I want to see a good, competitive super bowl. The complete opposite of what Peyton Manning delivered last year. For that reason, I hope the Broncos win this weekend (because the Colts suck outside of Andrew Luck) and lose in the AFC championship.

I can't explain it, but the passion I have for the skins can't be replicated. It is part of me. No other team will do. I hate so much about the organization, but my love for the team just won't go away.
That being said, I have learned to not get as emotionally involved with the team --- mainly in an effort to curb repeated disappointment and frustration. Opting to not schlep over to a bar and watch the STL game was one of the best decisions I made this season....... I've also not given a dime to Danny boy since his first year with the team, which I'm proud of.
I don't think I ever gave you your kudos for this post.
This is precisely how I feel about this team.
Love isn't rational, and that's OK.

I can honestly say that given the teams playing in the Super Bowl, the way that game ended could not have been more perfect. Watching Seattle fall flat on their faces and implode the way they did was even better than them getting blown out. I haven't heard a single chirp from a seahawk fan since. If only I truly believed this was the end of that train.

The ending to that game was what I like to call THE BOMB DIGGITY.
Making NE America's Team last week was a tough job but Seattle got 'er done. Can you imagine what we'd be suffering through if Seattle had pulled that one out?

and how 'classy' some of those Seattle players were in defeat ...
I will give Sherman credit though - this was a bad loss, but he, in particular, handled it well

That's OK, we'll have to take what we got for now.
I'm thinking Seattle has one more year with a clean shot at the title, but I have to believe their top-heavy salary structure is going to be catching up to them eventually. They have two safeties and a corner who are among the top paid at their positions, and they are reportedly about to make Wilson the highest paid player in the league
and give a massive contract to an aging Lynch. Can that really be sustainable?

Good points Irn-But. Its gonna be hard against the cap in the future. And they don't have Scot McCloughan to scout and draft. Idk where that guy went but whoever has him has sone reason for optomosim. Real talk it was a nice not to hear the "12th man" and bandwagon people. Plus the outspoken coach and players have to swallow their pride.
I really liked when Edelman held a meme of Sherman showing 4 fingers when he was spelling the score. How many rings does Brady have?
