I see where you're coming from, and I understand what you're saying, but I think you're wrong.

Here's how I see it; Out of the Cowboys and Patriots, what games hurt me more to lose: Cowboys, H & A, should have won both, end of.

But who tore us apart to the point that I'd be delighted if they were injured when we next meet...? Gronkowski.

It wasn't the Cowboys kicker that beat us, it was giving up the 3rd and 21 in game one, and it was missing the FG in game two. So my frustration isn't at their two-bob kicker, he just kicked what was in front of him, it is at sloppy defending and a missed FG we should have buried.

To put it another way, would you rather have their kicker (can't even say his name!) or Gronk on our team given a choice...???

Back on topic, I'm surprised no one has seconded my vote for the pukes kicker.. scored ALL their points in game one, won game two... Being our arch rivals I can't see anyone beating him.. Ya gronk had a great game and got the record vs us, but would have gotten it anyway. Just my 2 cents.

I almost seconded your pick of Bailey because a rookie is supposed to miss at least one kick in 6 tries in the first game, but the Gronk performance was a brute, blood and guts performance. I just don't respect a kicker as much as a hard nosed performance like Gronk's - that's classic football. Even though, I don't second your pick, I do get it and respect it, because what rookie kicks 6 FGs in a game - what nerves he has to be able to do that in a MNF game and against an arch rival! :)

No...?

I give them plenty of credit. I give them credit for AIDS, the Second World War, the worldwide recession, crabs, erosion of the Ozone, the famine in Africa, Justin Bieber, oil prices, Vietnam, herpes, Jay Leno's career, JFK, the new Star Wars films, political unrest in Central America, and worst of all Blues Brothers 2000.

Did I miss anything...?

I didn't consider the Armstrong 50 YD TD reception as the Best Play of the season, but it definitely ranks up there. Not only was it our longest TD of the year, AA, made a great play despite the blatant PI on the play.

I don't think "credit" is the correct term for the things you listed.

His lack of production, be it Grossmans fault or his own, kind of made plays like that not as memorable.. now the year before AAA had more highlights then anyone else on the team.

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Rex (honestly), because he gave us a hint of hope each week to win the game; however, in the end was so bad that he eventually allowed us to trade up to the 2nd pick to select the real RGIII.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Gaffney; career high in yards and tied career high for TDs (even better than numbers show since they were obtained by catching passes from Rex and Beck).

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan

ROOKIE OF THE SEASON: Helu

PLAY OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigans INT and TD

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE REDSKINS: Joe Webb; in 2 quarters without Adrian Peterson, Webb went 4/5 for 84 yards and 2 TDs plus ran 5 times for 34 yards and a TD to lead the Vikings past the Redskins (game was tied at halftime).

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: London Fletcher

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Roy Helu

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: D. Hall

ROOKIE OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan

PLAY OF THE SEASON: Kerrigan's interception and touchdown

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE REDSKINS: Grondkowski

Just realised that includes me!

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: His highness, The Duke of DC; London Levi Fletcher-Baker.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Jabar (the hut-hut) Gaffney. He kept the chains moving when our offense was on its knees sometimes by getting open quickly so Rex could dump it to him. With a lees than inspiring QB, no running game for a few weeks in the middle of the season and a patched up OL, his experience was vital to keeping us a little bit competitive.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan. Played every down as a rookie, and looked like a veteren.

ROOKIE OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan. In a season with so many rookies contributing, his reliability stands him out.

PLAY OF THE SEASON: Helu's hurdle and run. Such athleticism and promise. When you see a rookie thrown into the team do something like that, you jump out of your seat!

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE REDSKINS: The Gronk. The guy's a demon. We matched them all the way but his performance swung the game their way.

I'll make use of the extension:

PLAYER OF THE SEASON: London Fletcher

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Erm, Fred Davis.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan.

ROOKIE OF THE SEASON: Ryan Kerrigan.

PLAY OF THE SEASON: Helu's hurdle and run. We don't often see highlight reel stuff on offence.

BEST INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE REDSKINS: There was another team on the field? I take no notice of them!
