Also, he'll be playing in the slot, not being asked to be our #1 and getting double teamed all the time.skinpride1 wrote:I want to see Hankerson come back strong. Been hearing talk that moss has been working out hard and is in damned good shape. I could see Moss having a strong year with Rg3 throwing to him. I still think Moss has some gas left in the tank.
You kicked butt in this conversation Chris. Gaffney was a contributor last year, I'm not discounting that. But he had some really ugly play as well, we need to get younger, and he screwed up his image with the Twitter nonsense and comments like these. We needed the cap as well. Saying he might be able to come back and compete is a nice way of saying get lost.Chris Luva Luva wrote:Yea, I want this guy in our locker room. [/sarcasm]Jabbar wrote:I just heard. I just talked to Mike Shanahan. He said I was going to be making too much, and that they wanted to see what the other players can do. He said there is a chance I can come back, but he said it would be for around the minimum because I wouldn't be the starter anymore. I am not interested in going from being their leading receiver to being third-string, and having my number taken from me. That is pretty much telling me that I am not going to be making the team. Now Drew (Rosenhaus) can start talking to other teams to find me a new home.
LMAO. I'm just thinking back on last season with Kyle calling deep shots on the arm of Rex Grossman. Painful.Chris Luva Luva wrote:LACK OF QB ARM STRENGTH - This DESTROYED Anthony Armstrongs effectiveness. He had a breakout year because why? He's faster than most DB's and McRibb had the arm to lead him past the coverage. Torrey Smith in Baltimore can't run a route to save his life but he can run past people and Flacco has the arm to lead him straight out of bounds, lol. Rex has a noodle arm and often, AA had to cut his route short and the DB defended the pass. AA is not Calvin Johnson....
The thing is, those play-calls aren't wrong. U MUST keep a defense honest... AND! AND! If Rex had any sort of ability to anticipate his throwns, he could get those passes off earlier and have the same result. Weaker armed QB's must throw the ball earlier in some of those situations. An arm like RGIII can get away with being indecisive more so than Rex's.riggofan wrote:LMAO. I'm just thinking back on last season with Kyle calling deep shots on the arm of Rex Grossman. Painful.
Yeah, I bet he's not so bummed out all of a sudden.1niksder wrote:Gaffney should be signing with the Pats real soon
He got a two year deal and will compete with Chad OchoCinco, Julian Edelman, Deion Branch, Anthony Gonzalez, and Donte' Stallworth behind starters Wes Welker and Brandon Lloyd, in a city that's not new to him.DarthMonk wrote:Yeah, I bet he's not so bummed out all of a sudden.1niksder wrote:Gaffney should be signing with the Pats real soon

That said, the Redskins have done well to keep the most important veterans on the team: Cooley, Moss, Fletcher, D-Hall (many may disagree, but I believe this guy bleeds burgundy & gold), and several linemen on both sides.
LOL. I was just thinking the same thing. Are we like a farm team for the Patriots or something these days??cowboykillerzRED wrote:They picked up our other cast away? Lol
