Anything can happen in the nfl. I hope we can win a lot of games and Beck is our quarterback by some divine intervention. Even if we suck I will still be there for all 20 games (hopefully more) cheering them on.

Sorry but I think 500.... We already improved. Last year our defense wasn't near ready for a 3-4 change. Today, we have fit some extra missing pieces. We have at least a line today. Every year I look at our team on paper and again I have high hopes. It might be painful for a few games but we will achieve 500 minimum. With OTA's even better if we had them. We might surprise some people, even me. We have a free safety for a change. All is looking much better.

The worst thing that could happen is that this team somehow wins 6-8 games and Mr. Tanning Bed (Shanahan) thinks there might be a future with John Beck at QB. Sorry but John Beck will never be able to lead us to the playoffs. We need to get a Franchise QB (Most Preferably Andrew Luck!)

All you have to do is look at Joe Gibbs SB wins. You could say he had 3 franchise QB's but I say not. He has 3 decent QB's. It will happen and look at what Baltimore did a while back. Defense wins games.

Trent Dilfer is one of the few exceptions to SB winning QB's that aren't franchise QB's. Baltimore had one of the best if not the best defense in NFL history. Sorry but the Redskins are far away from having a defense like that. Look at the last 18 seasons. Look at the SB winning QB's all but 3 are either excellent or Elite. The 3 exceptions are Dilfer, Eli Manning and Brad Johnson.

Hey, I disagree again with your negative assessment. Earlier post you said your projecting 2 games won this year! Easier schedule than last year. How can you say something like that. Just an FYI I'll take that bet put your $$ where your mouth is.
As far as John Beck as QB and the Franchise QB stuff goes. What exactly was Troy Aikmans W/L record the first year he played? 1 and 15, He at least had a better Offence than Miami had when Beck started for them. Let's give the kid a shot see what he can do or not do to make or break his career.
We at least have so mewhat of a chance offensively this year, I wouldn't bet a whole bunch yet but at least they have some experience together and know the playbook better.
We aren't winning the super bowl this yr but now we at least have a foundation set. I project 2013, 2014 we should have a playoff caliber team, with any LUCK no pun intended maybe sooner.

HUH Bbaty? Aikman was drafted to be a franchise QB and he proved just that. He won 3 SBs and is in the HOF!

You're the league has changed. It isn't as good. The 91 Skins would have sheared any SB winner since the 90's. Heck the 91 Bills would have destroyed most of them.

Yes he did. But the first full season he played as Dallas starter his win/loss ratio was 1 Win and 15 losses. Do you think beck was drafted to be a backup in Miami? LMBO

Stellar 15 losses. 7 TD's to 14 Interceptions, wow he sucked but he was
still a huge success later in his career. Get my point.
Lets give Beck his chance with a decent O lne and see his stats. Lets compare apples to apples.
What are you going to say if Becks numbers are simular to Aikman at the end of this year?
Alot of new drafted QB's come in to their new team and look great initially
but aren't anything more than a good backup down the road.
I must of really chapped you about the 2 wins this yr. and putting your $$
where your mouth is. No offence intended just excited to see some kind of positive change to this team. If it fails ok then at least they tried something new, I'm betting the change will workout to the teams benefit.
I also think we might just really SHOCK a few people if Beck turns out to
have really learned something sitting for a few years. Practicing against the Ravens defence.

1) not all were top 10 picks. Warner was undrafted, Brady a late pick.

So here's the offensive breakdown as we start cutting down the roster.
Quarterback
#12 John Beck
#8 Rex Grossman
#11 Kellen Clemens
We should know enough about these guys now, Grossman was a former first round pick, Beck and Clemens former second rounders. All have started in the NFL before, but only Grossman has been a full season starter. Actually a lot of experience in this group, but not a lot of skill. IMO, pretty much the most we could hope for from these guys is someone to be a game manager. We just need someone to come in and not throw picks.
Running Back
#46 Ryan Torain
#34 Tim Hightower
#26 Roy Helu
#22 Evan Royster
#35 Keiland Williams
Shanahan has a great track record with running backs, but that's always seemed to be because of his dominant offensive lines. Still, we saw flashes from Torain who had multiple 100 yard gains. Tim Hightower is new, and he's show flashes of brilliance too. Both guys are made for this system. Hopefully they work out. Helu and Royster are rookies, hopefully they stick around for a while. It's a crowded backfield though, and Keiland Williams proved to be a useful goalline back in 2011.

Young has been getting more of the work, so it looks like the end of the line for Mike Sellers. I don't expect Sellers to break camp with the team.

Looks like the WR corps may be a position of strength for Beck and Grossman. These guys all just go to work, no complaining, and with the possible exception of Stallworth character is a huge plus for everyone.
