Hognostication Playoffs 2010 - Divisional Round

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

I must Hognosticate next year and try to make these playoffs. This looks waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too fun!

Outside 2 cents:

NFC dogs (PAC and SEA) win. AFC dogs (JET and RAV) lose but cover. 195 points!

Have at it and good luck fellas!

Oh well. I guess I'll concede my match now.

Bastard had to pick the Steelers before I could!

Oh well.

I made my bed. I'll lay in it.

Good job.

Thanks Justice Hog - it's looking like a lot more points are going to be scored than some anticipated

this is going to be very interesting tomorrow
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I loved it yesterday. The Baltimorons can sit on the couch next to us. I like the Falcons and the Packers so I was OK either way. Today I root for Da Bears and the Patriots.

I'm also rooting for points so Hoss can take me out. I played it straight, I'm not making any excuses. If he wins he won. But I really don't enjoy the playoffs. At this point if today is ultra low scoring and I move on it's fine too, I'm just rooting for who I want to win.

Go Pats!

As I mentioned at the end of the season - picking games/hognosticating winners during the regular season here is really what it's all about

I'm glad to be a part of the playoff process but I really just enjoy the breakdown and picking the games with you all

I am hoping to see Green Bay at Chicago and Pittsburgh in New England next week

as many of you know I do not like the Patriots or Belicheat but you've got to give them credit - they've got a successful franchise and hopefully some of that will have rubbed off on Skanahan when he visited with Belicheat before he took over in DC

Gents,

After a GREAT defensive performance, an unexpected mountain of points came down in the 1st game yesterday.

I think it will be next to impossible to recover. So, several of us are very likely out of this competition today.

Have fun anyway!

I was about to pick Green Bay and the favorites in the other games, but since I didn't want to play I didn't want to be accused of throwing the game by picking the 6 seed over the 1 when I was the top seed. I am decent enough that while I didn't want to pick, I won't agree but then throw it on purpose. Since I played it straight, instead I'm going to go down. Which I want to do. How ironic is all that?

actually - I really felt that the 2 visiting teams would win the Saturday games and the home teams would win on Sunday - I just got caught up in the point spread fiasco

 looks like I'm playing next week anyway, so I'll be picking winners and letting it ride

Boy, are you SO wrong!

Looks like everyone left their defenses home this year. Congrats and good luck to the winners next week!

Thanks, Countertrey.

You had a better regular season, but it takes special talent to win in the playoffs.

On to the Championship round!

Maybe things are different now, but,in Hognostibowl IV, defeating the Hognositcations champ for that year just required taking the under in 2 weekends, and then being luckier than SkinsJock in the final. The under sure didn't help me this weekend.

Maybe this is the year SJ wins the playoffs.

Good luck everyone!

Thanks RiC, and good game.

I thought there would be plenty of offense, but I never would have guessed 232 total points. Wow.

58 point per game average; who would have guessed? I thought the Falcons and Patriots would have put up better fights, but turnovers were the story of this weekend. Congratulations to Hoss, TeeterSalad, REDEEMEDSKIN, and SkinsJock for completing the upset sweep and moving on. Check out the Championship round thread for the next matchups.
