No, I'm with you ... but I think the laughing in Dallas will be equally effective as the booing in Washington. I'm just glad I don't have tickets to this game ... the last time I was there wearing a Portis Jersey ... I got a ration of boos from the Cowboy fans ... this year, would be way more insulting ... the laughing ... the pointing fingers ... the grossman jokes ...

6th in yards, 25th rating, 26th TD-Int ratio, 27th comp.%.

It doesn't really matter we lose a 3rd and a 4th any way.

Actually, it does matter. We get a 5th back from the Saints if they get the 3rd. If they get the 4th, we only get a 7th.

Problem is, this isn't Grossman's fault. In Detroit, he was put into a bad situation ... and now, with his lack of mobility, they decide to put him in against that Cowboy pass rush? He's going to be murdered, and if you think the team is upset now ... just wait till after the trouncing on Sunday ... with the likelihood that McNabb will have to come in as they cart Grossman off the field in a stretcher anyway.

I'm so friggin mad I dont even what to say. I wish the game was here though, I'd buy a ticket just to jeer @ shanahan and like 2357 said, I'd boo the hell outta grossman.

The only thing I can think of is that they have decided that they dont want McNabb here anymore, and they dont want him to improve his stat line so they can get the 5th from NO?

He lost the locker room in Detroit.

Detroit's a tough city. Did he lose it or was he just mugged on the way?

I don't think Shanahan lost the locker room, hell even when Hunter Smith was cut he said he thinks Shanahan is changing the culture and he'll eventually have the Redskins as a great team.

If even the guys we booted to the curb say that, I think we have their attention. We're trying to build a winning program here and if the Redskins don't see Donovan McNabb as a long term solution for us, in this offense then why not start Sexy Rexy. Screw it.

Anyway, here is a NSFW link from Kissing Suzy Kolber that someone posted here after the Detroit game in case you missed it:

That's funny. This may be one of the most clueless posts I've ever read. I'm a government hating individual "establishment" guy. Too funny. The problem with the post is it fails to comprehend what it even means to support the players, your staff, or the people. Ice cream for children isn't supporting your children, failing to make money isn't supporting your staff, not making hard decisions isn't supporting your players. And that my political views are establishment oriented is the most see what you want to see no matter how pathetically self serving point a post can possibly make.

I can't wait for this Dallas game.

I now know what it is like to be a Browns fan. At some point you just have to not really care anymore about winning or losing and just be lucky DC even has a team.

I'm kidding of course, losing sucks!

sorry mate - don't try and make any sense here - this is a thread that is for a bunch of whiners - they only want to see what is wrong with this franchise

I'm not happy about the thought of Grossman starting but I still think that Allen and Shanahan are in charge here and they will do what they need to do to get this franchise back in gear - I think that everyone here is being evaluated for the future and that includes players AND coaches including Kyle - If Kyle shows he's not capable of making the offense work here then he's gone

I'm not saying that this QB move makes any sense but I do think that Mike and Bruce will look at everything at the end of this season and we will be better again next year because of their evaluation of both players and coaches

many fans here are just so sure that this change is a huge mistake - that's their prerogative - I just don't agree at all - I'm not a Grossman supporter or fan of Kyle Shanahan - I just think these guys are trying their best to improve the product on the field and I don't see this move as being nothing but bad
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

What's wrong with seeing what we have at QB? Just like Shanahan said, We have seen what Donovan has done in 13 games and it isn't pretty, so why not just see what Grossman/Beck can do? We aren't going to the playoffs, might as well have tryouts for next year's team.

Let's try and trade D-Nabb to Arizona or Minnesota for a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Trade Haynesworth to the Titans for a 4th rounder.

According to ESPN 980, Shanahan has said he cannot guarantee McNabb will be back in 2011. Since he's under contract, that tells me that Shanahan s saying he doesn't want him here.

Galdy is an idiot .... says it was a mistake to sign McNabb and they might as well play the other guys and let McNabb go.

It was certainly a mistake to give up 2 picks for a guy you end up renting for a portion of one season, and disrespect him in the process.

Really ... do we have a worse example among the many boneheaded decisions made by Snyderatto ? I don't think so.

They just re-inked McNabb a month ago for crying out loud .... so we let him walk ... lose two draft picks and wind up in worse shape than were were with Campbell here? Even I AGREE that Campbell is a better option than Grossman or Beck.

I think we get a low round pick back from the Eagles for McNabb not making it through the year as starter. Probably a 6th rounder.

If they hadn't "re-inked" McNabb they would have to let him walk. Now they have control over where he goes.

I don't see a problem with this move, They have seen DMc for 13 weeks and they have two other guys that they have no idea about. Beck hasn't played and Grossman can't be as bad as he looked the last time he was out there.

If they Grossman really is as bad has most people think then that's another vacant roster spot at the end of the year. Beck and McNabb are both under contract next year. They need to see Grossman play before they spend cap space on him down the road. Beck could be auditioning for the No.2 spot going into the off season.

They need to know if they need 1 QB or as many as 3 quarterbacks going into 2011, and they only have 3 weeks.

I just wish they waited until after they played ttiT :x

And the point? We can't even get value out of a 2 ... so what can we get for a 6th? What have we done with 6th rounders?

I keep going back to the fact that McNabb is the 2nd most sacked QB in the league .. and this team for most of the season had NO RUNNING GAME at all .... and a defense that was giving up a mile of yardage ... and they want to put the blame on McNabb?

Guess what ... the Texans are doing just fine without the Genius Boy running their offense ... in fact, they are more balanced between run and pass ... and a fraction of a point better per game.

So we have the coach's son, without a real proven track record, and McNabb that has a solid track record ... and after 13 games, they've seen enough of McNabb? The evaluation is over?

You have to HAVE a cornerstone before you can build upon it. Donovan McEagle isn't a cornerstone. At least not one that I would build more than a doghouse on top of. He's a washed-up has been from a division rival. He never should have been brought in to begin with.

Good Riddance to Bad Rubbish. If they get something for him, great. If not, and they simply disinfect/exorcise his locker and give it to someone else, that's fine too.

This move puts McNabb firmly at the end of the bench. He may even be de-activated Sunday according to Shanahan: "I want to see John Beck. John Beck has been exceptional in practice. I want to see him in No. 2 role."

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/20 ... arterback/

Well, Beck's been exceptional in practice eh? Sort of like Graham Gano? Anyway, Beck was an exceptional college QB who went high to the Dolphins in the 2007 draft. Sure, why not? Put in "Sexy" Rexy, put John Beck in there! So what? We're just playing for a high pick at this point.

I believe in McNabb and I like the guy as a professional and as a leader, but he wasn't getting it done. I'd rather the Skins cut ties with him now then try to drive a square peg into a round hole for the next few years. Hopefully we can trade him for something good.
