Heyer has to be replaced. He might be the worst run blocker in the NFL.

Coach em up.... listen to Billick say that Sellers is DOING A POOR JOB of blocking. I will have to agree.

No wonder Portis wanted him to sit down....

More brilliant play calling. I guess Zorn can't call plays near any endzone.

So what do you call? A pass and JC gets sack (cause the doesn't happen often) and you blame Zorn for it. The goaline is tough no matter what you call if you don't get the blocking.

BTW, it looks like to me that CP looks right about Sellers.

Except for a couple of 3rd down passes, D is playing lights out.

I think Delhome is hurt. He's moving like his back is killing him.

Well, I don't get paid to call plays like Zorn does, but I can tell you that I'm not running a stretch play in my own endzone!

After he got paid, I haven't seen one bit of the "Caveman" (do use a Doc Walker term, which may or may not be a good idea) mentality we came to appreciate.

I have trouble believing that was a called sweep. Best guess is that when Heyer got blown up, Sellers ran outside and Portis just followed (which is basically what he's supposed to do).

This is going to be a long game. Playcalling can't fix this kind of horror show at both tackle positions.

Any run that involved straight ahead blocking would have been a better call, than a stretch run play that gives their D Line and LB's a chance to read and react.

Actually, scratch that. This many sacks and no-gain runs means the clock will keep running. It just feels like forever.

Let's run in down the middle so you criticize him for being predictable and conservative. My point is that if it doesn't go right, perhaps it's the players missing their blocks and not performing. The best play call in the world isn't going to work if the players screw up. It looked like to me the players screwed up.

Okay, so who just noticed that Yoder was in at blocking back on on the last play before the pass to Moss?

That actually pretty much was straight ahead blocking. Heyer got blocked straight back.

It'll be talked about after the game. I'm curious to know where that was supposed to go. But it looked like Heyer getting destroyed pushed that outside rather than the playcall (nobody was pulling, from what I saw).

That's because Sellers screwed up. What's the point of a lead blocker if he doesn't even hit anyone, esp. at the 1 yd line?

this is the way the offense needs to operate. They can't block for 2 seconds so run quick plays.

Also, FWIW, Yoder's hands-down a better blocker than Davis. So I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of him today to let Cooley catch some balls.

We have just entered our area of concern, the Red Kryptonite Zone. They got in out quick with a TD the first time. Let's do it again. Go Skins!

You may be right Paralis... but the bottom line here is, no one has confidence in Zorn's playcalling. If he were respected as a play caller, the comment would have been "well... he must have seen something to make that call" instead of "Why did he call that?"

The safety run was anything but a straight ahead run. Lousy blocking yes!
