You have good talent on both sides of the ball these guys overcomplicate every dang thing. Why draft a stud DE and then make him cover Pro Bowl and All Pro TE's?? Why not just line him up next to Haynesworth and have what the Giants had with Tuck and Strahan on one side?

Then Blache continues with GW's rigid system that he has the LB's and Secondary so confused before the snap that they are jumping around confused. The problem is that the defensive scheme does not play to it's talent but instead tries to make the talent play to it instead of letting these guys play.

The offense is undisciplined, uninspired and over complicated. Zorn has not figured out how to utilize the talent he has partly because he's not flexible to adjusting the game plan to Jason's strength and not firing up this offense. The talent is there but he's over complicating to. Not trading Betts and getting a change of pace guy behind Portis was a mistake.

The problem is not coaching. We do not have a GM. That's the problema. We need one

Right now it's coaching. Ron Wolf is not coming through the door right now so these coaches have to coach what they have now.... Yes, Dan Snyder has flubbed on that by sticking with Vinnie but right now, Dan needs to lean on Zorn and Blache to either simplify things and let these guys play or just ride this out til January and then blow everything up in the front office and coaching staff. Go get a qualified football GM that will make roster changes and hire a HC that is going to instill discipline and structure to this group. GM needs to make that new HC do one thing, move Orakpo to DE next to Haynesworth. The next Dexter Manley is wasting away in the wrong position...

No

Agreed. I liked him a D coordinator but only with the right HC he can work with. He was too arrogant to be the head guy.

Jim Zorn cannot be fired under the regular season.

It would be suicide to bring in a QB coach, Offensive Coordinator, Head Coach -and- different system at this juncture.

NOTHING and NOBODY can fix the team from outside at this point to salvage this season. It has to come from within. For as long as Zorn does not lose the players. we can still salvage some games -perhaps- up to a 8 - 8 record. Otherwise, I do not want to imagine what the record might become.

I have a question for you guys:

Not who do WE want to coach this team next year BUT ...

... WHO might want to coach this team under the current Front Office?

I say NOBODY who does not want to fail.

I think bringing in a new coach prior to the end of the year makes sense for a couple of reasons. One it let's the coach evaluate the roster with game experience so they can know who they want to keep. Two it let's Snyder hire someone without competing against other teams. Unless the team completely collapses, I wouldn't do this until after they've guaranteed a losing season. The biggest problem on the team right now is the offensive line, not the coach, the QB, or anyone else.

I would be in favor dumping VC at any point. He's had control for two offseasons and done next to nothing to improve the O-Line.

As for the coach, it'll either be a big name for lots of money who could demand control, or someone desperate to get a head coaching job and no chance to get one elsewhere like Fassell...

We don't wanna do another Teddy Terry Robiskie issue like we did after we gave Norv the heave-ho. Let him finish the season. If we're a sub .500 team, then we give 'im the ax.

NO. It will completely turn off a potential big name coach from ever wanting to work for a team that would fire him 3 games into a season.

I totally agree. You can't fire a coach mid-season. Zorn is a well respected guy around the league and screwing him would not be a good move.

Firing Vinny would be EXACTLY what the doctor ordered. Replacing a, well, a, whatever Vinny's title is and replacing him right now would be advisable. We need a GM
