I'm just happy that we're playing games that could be considered "trap" games...and we're not the opponent this time. : )
No, No let-down. No NFL team is going to overlook us anymore, though. Bulger could explode at any time, and Jackson was a beast last time we saw him. Consider the pride of Holt, the familiarity of Campbell that Saunders has...there's no room for a let-down. The Rams will give us everything they have, and the team knows it.

"Realistic" isn't the word I'd have used. . .
Oh, how sweet threads like these are.
Amen brother, amen
and so many of them seem to get pulled back into circulation by a certain flexi straw with great recall I might add.

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

now let me understand this because I might be that person. Is there a difference between a "blindly optumistic fan" and someone who has unrealistic expectations - let's say, someone who has a "posutive" outlook?
I mean, isn't a fan someone who wants and expects good things for his team - why is the adjective "blindly" needed? Is it because you feel a need to make it seem that anyone who is optumistic (your word) or optimistic, is not being realistic?
As fans here we all are equal - some make posts that seem to pull the fan support thing into question but we all have our opinions and are entitled to them - a fan (to me) is someone that would certainly hope for a good game or a good season all the time and not question the chances of that after a few minutes of the first quarter or after the first game of a 16 game season.
it is kind of fun to have these little snapshots brought back into focus though, don't you think?

It's easy to support a team when they are winning, but true fans stick by their team even when they don't.
It isn't "blind optimism" it's hope.
It's fun to rub it in the faces of your opponents who wrote you off, but I take no joy in rubbing it in the faces of my peers, other supposed Redskins fans, who were saying the same kinds of things that an opponent's fan would say about us.
That's just sad.
Moreso, I hate it when those same peers rub it in my face that I am a fan of a team they have already given up on. I would rather spend time with a 'Pukes fan than a pessamistic Redskins fan.
It's easier to hate the 'Pukes fan.
