It does take some practice for a QB and a receiver to get on the same page with eath other's tendencies. Less than two opportunities per game wouldn't allow any two players to get "on the same page" in my opinion. Who is to blame for the limited opportunities? I blame Saunders and Gibbs both. When your other options are Keenan McCardell and Reche Caldwell what is there to lose by having at least a remote deep threat on the field? Especially when your two best receivers are either out or playing injured and at half-speed. Nothing, in my opinion, but that is also why I'm not getting any calls to coach the Skins.

He was in the offense for an entire season the year before last. He had many, many balls thrown his way during his time in Washington. I say move on already. It's water under the bridge.

Maybe the reason that not many passes were thrown to him is that he rarely managed to get open.

Possible. Any number of reasons are possible. All I'm getting at is that the Bears are still giving Lloyd another chance. They haven't cut him yet, and they probably won't. He might be worth far more to the Bears than he was worth to the Redskins. That seems to happen frequently. A good number of players left the Redskins and suddenly improved drastically with another team. I'd like an explanation as to why, but that is another thread topic for another time. All I'm getting at is that BearSkins and the Bears fans shouldn't write Brandon Lloyd off just yet. My 2 cents

I"m still wondering where Walt Harris' skills came from when he went to the 49ers.

Wow, Lloyd plays OK in the pre-season for Chicago and it's another Skin bashing opportunity? He played fine for us when it didn't count too. Lloyd blew for us because Lloyd blew. Lots of young players bounce around until they catch on with someone and eventually become good, but other then that who are you referring to?

I don't know how Brandon Lloyd has played for the Bears. I don't get those games. There is no "Skin Bashing" on my part. Lloyd did practice well. Lloyd didn't perform in a Redskins uniform in regular season games. It isn't remotely fair to blame 100% of that failed experiment on Brandon Lloyd.

If you're asking for names of specific players who either left or were cut or traded by the Redskins, and went on to be decent to good players elsewhere, this isn't the thread. I have to keep this discussion to Brandon Lloyd as a member of the Chicago Bears, or I will be hatted on.

I'll be awaiting that new thread with baited breath.

It's already well on the second page. The list was provided with the caveat they didn't meet the criteria. :hmm:

Lloyd and the Bears weren't on the list.

You could have said the same thing about AA and the Bears this time last year, but how did that work out.

Thanks. Just when it was getting safe to re-enter this thread AA gets brought up...

It didn't. What does AA have to do with Brandon Lloyd? Other than being another in a long line of Redskins personnel mistakes.

AA was better then Lloyd. At least he could tackle and didn't have a bad attitude. Good luck with Lloyd.

It's the same thing that happened with Adam (signed a big deal but couldn't be dumped the next year because of the cap (unless someone footed part of the bill as Da Bears did after one year)), Same response from people like you the first time he did something worth putting in print (it had to be the Redskins FO). BLloyd wasn't a personnel mistake on the same level as AA. Not only was AA not a good fit on the field I believe he was still injured when he signed. Lloyd was productive before he got here and should have improved when here. Lloyd was just "handled" wrong or reacted wrong to the way he was being handled. Like I said earlier Lloyd isn't the same player he was when he got here. He plays special teams now, particapates fully practice and isn't complaining about playing time.

With the lack of effort on the offense, would you really have wanted him in ST here?

He's blocked one more punt this season than our current group. He also played ST almost exclusively his first year in SF, including time as a returner, so he's got experience. For us it would have made sense, particularly his second year here, when he was barely used on offense, and physically, the biggest he'd been in his entire career.

B. Lloyd 2catch 26yd 18long

They were impressive catches, too. The 1st he had to get some height on and the second he had to cahtch on his knees. I'm glad he's getting off to a good start somewhere!

It's a bit early but considering he had 0 catches for us at one point I think that it's safe to say Lloyd is added to the list of players Gibbs regime 2.0 completely mishandled.

I had the same thought, but only time will tell how much Lloyd was improperly used in a Redskins uniform. I'm almost afraid to know. It will make me start asking who else is being used incorrectly.
