I think this is a cop out opinion. The talent is there, and we're just too embarassed to say it again.
Different QB, even a different O-line. Different wide receivers, and a different offensive coordinator. The same offense ever since Gibbs has been here for his second stint.
Especially with as bad as the NFC is, we should be excited about possibly making the Super Bowl. Alas, we're afraid to make an embarrassing prediction like that, and I will be too as long as Gibbs continues to play us this conservatively.
Our offense was never given a chance to succeed because we were to scared to fail. Let's realize that not succeeding will eventually lead to failure.

One thing we haven't metioned yet, I don't think. First game that S-Teams has let us down. The blocked punt didn't end up hurting us, but if Suisham had made the FG, it would have saved us all a lot of anxious moments at the end. He hooked that one to the left badly.

Did you notice that we called more than a few down field plays? Campbell checked them off. Either the receivers weren't getting open, or the timing was off. . .but it wasn't a refusal of coaches to take shots down the field.
Well a few comments on that. It looked like he was checking down because of the pressure from the Cardinals. Additionally, why are we taking our shots down field with guys like Thrash? Isn't that what Moss and Randle El are for?

Yes. He had a lot of time but it wasn't consistent. You could tell that he did NOT trust the offensive line. He was throwing high and checking down quickly.

Thrash has replaced Mark as Gibbs new man crush. I love Thrash but him being our slot WR is hurting the team. He is not that good of a WR at this point. We have 3 better plays under him.

Play calling is hideous. Mental lapses. 7 points given to the Cards by STUPID defensive penalties... late hit on an incomplete pass??? Taunting??? Are you kidding????
Why was Warner not blitzed at least once or twice each possession? Get him thinking about protecting his arm, and you change his game. Stupid.
Where was any semblance of an attempt to make a vertical play every once in a while??? Stupid. Hey, coach... you aren't moving the ball on the ground? How the heck do you loosen up the box, except by passes outside the box?????
This is rediculous....
Can a win be classified as embarassing? This one qualifies.
At least we didn't ice Rackers before his kick, and give him another shot. But I attibute that more to Joe's poor clock management skills.

On their last two drives (the TD and after the onside kick) we should have been bumping the recievers at the line, not giving a 15 yard cushion. That was seriously pissing me off. I'm sure everyone was having flashbacks to the Dallas-Buffalo game. Did anyone else notice that at least three Cardinals were offsides on the onsides kick? Nobody can keep a beaten team close like the Redskins. Still, I'll take it.

Hail to the Redskins!
I can hardly express my enthusiasm for all the "Let's fire everyone" posts that seem to be popping up. Suddenly, it's Al Saunders' fault he has no offensive line to speak of, his receivers can't get open or when they do the passes miss, the field goal kicker choked in all aspects, etc., et.al..
What plays does anyone expect the man to call for a non-existent offensive line which results in an ineffective rushing attack? I know. Let's throw up bombs on every down and see how many get intercepted.
Players make the plays. Players fail to make the plays.

The coaching staff is trying not to get Jason killed. The numbers aren't pretty but so far Jason is still upright.

Our D plays so good and they get a 3 and out and our O comes out and ( who ever is calling the plays ) calls 3 runs with about 13 mins left. That is the time you go for the win. Gibbs plays not to lose and we will not have a good and productive O with that mentality. Im glad for the win but I dont think we deserved it and that is the first time Ive ever said that. But its true.

It's amazing when we get behind that these receivers magically get open. No proof, but I think there is a philosophy not to risk a pass that isn't wide open if you're winning. Watch some good teams. They give the green light to their QBs, and they make completions to people that aren't that open, even in the middle of the field (crazy). It's the way the league has gone. We're falling behind.

I don't care for her either. Something about her irks me.

Of course we deserved it. We led the entire game, gave them their first TD on a poor screen pass by Campbell, their second on two unsportsmanlike penalties. As for not going for the Jugular, We tried that, too, albeit not at the right time (2nd and 7 on our last posession, throw deep to Thrash).

We're 4-2 baby... whoooooooooooooooooo!!!
We so don't deserve to be after another second half meltdown, but we are.
How we got there sucked, but that's what alcohol is for.
Can't wait to hear who the locker room altercation was between... maybe it was Kelli Johnson.
Don't much care for all the problems that were evident today... the o-line, the offense in general... the victory is the only statistic that matters when all is said and done. We've lost our fair share of games like this, so to not actually blow it was nice.
A win is truly a win... and that was one of the ugliest you will ever see.
Next week, it's the big, bad Patriots.
Ugh. Kegger?

This implies there is such a thing as a smart bitch. If there is, I've never met her.

I was thinking that the consumption would need to be high and consistent for three plus hours... hopefully with some joy sprinkled in here and there where tequila could supplement.
If I'd have done a shot of tequila today every time I 'needed one', then I would have looked like... well... probably like Fios on his birthday.

We are such a dominant 4-2 team right now... I'm jacked.

I haven't been listening to any info about the altercation but I would have to guess that it was between a producer from XXX and a writer from the Times. There was almost an altercation between the two earlier in the season during post game coverage when Sunny was doing an exclusive interview in the locker room and the Times reporter was butting in and was where he wasn't supposed to be. I remember Bram and Larry talking with the producer that was involved during one of their shows.

Next week I suggest alternating double shots of Patron Silver, Jaegermeister, Johnny Walker Blue and Remy XO every five minutes. It's what I'll be doing.

That last line says it all. Best one line summation of a wretched game I've ever read.

Yes but logic aside, in my own head I'm free to insert whatever combatants I choose until the truth comes out.
That's considerably more fun given the circumstances.
