Steinbrenner has never been cogent.

One does not make as much money and have as much success as Mr. Steinbrenner sans cogency. Say what you will, the man has a track record of success.

Cogent means that he gets to the point, if I am understanding your context. The only point I see George getting to is no amount of success is satisfactory. George defines the last seven years of success as Suck Cess. I wonder if he has any idea how many other owners would kill to have the kind of failure his team has every season?

Ah, JF...I think you are part of "the lost generation"...the 34 seasons when MLB refused to play baseball in the capital of the USA. We have a team again, even with Bob Short's red colors and curly-W.

I'm 32, so I'd say the 34 year drought is most certainly the reason I'm an O's fan. And I hate Peter Angelos as much as any Nat fan.

I'm also a part of "the lost generation." Though I was alive and living in DC when the Senators left, I didn't form my baseball allegiances until after we had moved to Atlanta. I've always liked the O's in the AL, but I'm a Braves fan first and can't stand the DH rule, as I think it removes half the strategy from the game. I am glad that DC has a baseball team again, though.
