This sums it up for me. I have always said 70-Chip was my first football memory, but I realized recently, it was actually the game before that, when Daryl Grant scooped up the fumble and high-stepped it into the end zone. I remember asking my dad, "Whose number 77, and why is he running like that." I ran like that into the end zone in backyard games for years after that.

Fumble recovery? Come on JansenFan. Are you thinking about the same game I am? How about a TIPPED PASS that Grant intercepted and ran in for a touchdown. As quoted from the Post Section of Reliving History and our past memorable games against our most hated rivals.

" They won because defensive tackle Darryl Grant was able to run 10 yards to the Dallas end zone with a fourth-quarter pass that was tipped by defensive end Dexter Manley, the Redskin who most dislikes the Cowboys."

You can look it up.

 that's the one. Sorry, I was 6 or 7 at the time. I remember the high-step more than anything else.

That's okay, Scott. No problem. Also, Riggo ran for 140 yds that day too. And hey, you sure didn't look like you were 30 years younger than me when I met you in A75 at this years Pukes game. Another great day in the rivalry. Unfortunately it was only one of a few bright spots this past year.

I was born a Redskins fan in 1981. Is it coincidence that 1981 was the first year Joe Gibbs came to the Redskins and me being born a Redskins fan? I think not! 8)

Im 31.

I look pretty old though. When I got out of the Marine Corps in 97 and start my current job, I was 22. The following year on my birthday, someone asked how old I was turning. I said 23 and he said, "I thought you were turning 33.
RIP 21

And most people don't think I'm as old as I am. I'm probably the only guy I know that got the Metallica Double CD with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra as a gift on his 54th birthday.

But you are right, Grant was definitely picking them up and putting them down as he high steppend his way those 10 yards into the Pukes End Zone. Hope to see you up there again in A75 this season.

I became an active fan during the Norv era. It hasn't been the most pleasant ride so far (but I believe!)

I'm tempted to break out the 'athletic supporter' line from "Grease".
