Arrington in 6 games had 16 tackles and 1 sack. If you want to take out the game he got injured early in, that means 14 tackles (and no sacks) in 5 games.

I live in Connecticut, NY suburbs, and hear nothing positive about him. His being cut was barely news.

I'm not messing with any Pink Flexi Straws but...........I dont really think we need to re sign Lavar but what we do need is someone who can bring some intensty and fire into the defense, and that person in the past had been Lavar, and the team missed that spark last year. I heard Ricky Williams wired during our game a couple of years ago against Miami and instead of hearing Ricky talking and whatnot I heard more smack from Arrington and Trotter saying things like after a hit "All day long Ricky" and "bring it Ricky". Our D had zero intensity last year and I think a large part of that was due to the fact that we did not replace Lavars presense in that regard. Now weather or not we should resign him I'd probably say no cuz he is so broken now. We need to search for a Defensive leader like Lavar was in his best days here.

That's the thing though - I don't think Arrington was a leader his last year or or two. I think he was a distraction. If you're looking for leaders (in addition to guys like Washington, Griffin, Springs, etc.) then we should look internally. At this stage in his career, from what I've seen, I'm not sure Arrington is capable of being a leader anywhere.

I get what you're saying, the defense did seem to lack fire at times last season but I agree with JBD, I think the team can find that leader in-house. Additionally, again agreeing with the man in the bag, LA might have been that leader at some point but his last two seasons were marked by whining and moaning, not leadership.

I don't care what anybody say about lavar, he's struggling as of late because of that knee injury, he was one of the best LB before injuries were a factor. I think alot of teams think he can still be an impact thats why there is interest in him. he's been getting big time money beacuse he made himself into a big money Linebacker. In hindsight yes, hes hasnt been worth it, but know for a reasonable price, hed be a good pickup if the injuries get healed, but that is the question.

Haven't you been listening to the bashers? MacIntosh turned out to be the second coming when he played at the end of the year and it was further proof Gibbs was addled and GW arrogant and the bashers know how to run a football team better then our inept organization any day of the week as they always know what we should have done.

And you thought Rocky just stood on the sideline? Man, you need to listen to the "I told you so's" more to increase your football IQ. Personally I thought Rocky played fine for a rookie and it demonstrated they actually prepared him well, but I was apparently wrong on that.

Never learned. Did not improve in two years under Williams. Compare Wilbur Marshall coached by Richie Petibon: Wilbur freelanced, blew assignments, but then settled into the scheme and went to the Pro Bowl. Petibon kept at it, Gibbs backed Richie, and Marshall learned.
