You guys crack me up. I enjoyed reading this thread and being called the "T" word. Too funny.

Y'all have to realize that I don't Hognosticate with my "heart", I do it with my "brain".....or, what little I have.

Now.....do I pick the Texans this week?

Come on JH. You SHOULD pick the skins every week. I personally cannot pick against the skins. I have hope every week that they will win and you should too. I think that is part of hognostication. Keyword is HOG. Redskins are an automatic pick so everyone will be one down or up the same. I am not questioning your loyalty to the skins by any means but in my opinion, everyone who does the hognosticating should only have to pick from 15 other games because the skins pick is on auto dial.

Exactly, brother. No room in the pig pen for anyone eating bacon.

I have been away from the site for a while over the last few days. I am broken hearted and I was not in good shape to post or for that matter even talk to anybody about the Redskins and that "game"played on Sunday night.

First, I wish to congratulate CLL on his victory. I mean, his score over the two weeks is truly REMARKABLE! You can say what you want, I do not ANYBODY in Vegas or the sports world that shares his score up to now. Yes, ladies, gentlemen and children of all ages, that darn GOOD!

What amazes me is that I know other truly good Hognosticators that are not doing that well. You know who you are. You had a much better performance last season and you have not found your groove yet this season. I am sure you will. Only question, very much along the lines of our team, Will it be enough or Will it be too little too late?

I know it is early in the season. I know that it is only two NFL weeks BUT I am not sure that I can do anything different to improve my Hognostications score. Like the team, I am somewhat lost, searching for answers, angry, depressed and dark thoughts cross my mind. I am being tested.

Now, talking about our team, I have the same thoughts. Not good. Not good at all. But they and I are no quitters. We will fight every week as if the championship depends on it, regardless of the standings.

I do know ONE thing though: My Hognostications for the Redskins made at the beginning of the season were 16 - 0. And THAT, still holds. I will have the Redskins on the Win column for each and every game for the rest of my life.

Nice typing to you.

Picking against your team at any point, EVER is a cardinal sin, you violated one of the basic fan creeds

I have not lost anything yet RiC and am sure we will see a revival both on the field and with your picks and hopefully mine!!

I have been thinking that I might try some advice from others here and just bench my QB, so to speak. I think I will just buy the sports pages and check what all the others think will happen this week and go that route. I mean, what's to lose - if it has not worked just scrap everything and find a new "system"

By the way congrats also to Drmskins86 for a 13 W this week that is awesome! And to TRO - 12 W to bring his total to 22 - not too shabby - I know that must really be getting under the Canuck's skin too

Must be some new law of mathematics that science has yet to discover. Under the current laws, 14-2 remains a possibility.

RiC is sticking with his original hognostications. The thing is he cannot change what is done (the previous 2 weeks!) and he is sticking by his predictions for the Redskins for the rest of the season.

An admirable trait that a few others here could learn from. I'm not talking about predictions - I'm talking about commitment.

And I have nothing against anyone picking against the Redskins as that is something you just to live with - I think anyone should be allowed to hognosticate each and every game - it will just be a lot sweeter with the kidding when we win that game and JH or whoever has picked against us!

it is kidding? right????

22 - 9 versus 18 - 13

The difference is four games and you call it victory already? It is a marathon, not a sprint. Go ahead Hare, you have a fair advantage. There is no way we can catch up to you from now on. Go ahead, take a nap.

But let me be quite frank, I would have been willing to concede the WHOLE Hognostications final score for a better start of the season for our beloved Redskins. I am down, real down. So, enjoy the rarified air at the distant height of four games advantage at the second week.

Like my Brunell-bashing brethren on this site have already done for the Skins, I'm pretty much calling the Hognostications season over for you, my friend. You might stand a chance if you get your neighbour to pick for you. Otherwise, your season is d-u-n, done!!!

Thanks for playing this year.

P.S. I feel ya on the Skins. However, I'm glad that you realize that "it is a marathon, not a sprint." I'm looking for the Redskins season to turn around. It'll make my ascent to first place on the leader board THAT much more enjoyable.
