I think Boss already knows what I think of his efforts in putting this site together. But don't undersell your own contribution here - these things have to start with an idea, and this was a good one.

And yes, Oakland. You dissin' my picks? I think you'll find I'm right. I've never ever been wrong, except when it was somebody else's fault.

We've had the Hognostications coupled with a pool project in the works for years, it's nice to see the lazy webmaster get off his duff and finally do something around here.

And no offense to RiC as he definitely is a lot of the impetus behind us kicking it up a notch, but TH was the one who got this off of the ground last year. Thanks to both of them for making it happen and to me for being idiot enough to agree to even more work.

So here's what i'm going to do... I thought originally that with me being late getting launched, that most people might not get their picks in, in time. But with 46 registered hognosticators already, I guess a lot of you were chomping at the bit to get Hognosticating. I'm going to see how many more registrations we get today (Friday) and if it's a LOT more (like 20 or 25), then I'm going to throw out the Thursday game by changing everyone to a win so that those who entered Friday aren't really penalized at all for being a day late.

If there's NOT a lot more registrations today, then I'm just going to leave everything the way it is and I would appreciate it if those of you that DO make picks on Friday would put Miami in for the Thursday game and take the loss. (thanks Countertrey - you doing that was what prompted the idea)

I originally just wanted to try and give people ample opportunity to build the pool base, but almost 50 right out of the gate is plenty good enough.

Great stuff. I hope you'll all stick with it and I hope more will jump in today. I doubt we had 46 peole play in any one week last year, and kudos to the community for participating in droves as that is what will make the whole Hognostications game that much more fun to play.

So keep the picks coming, and on Monday or Tuesday (I haven't decided which), I'll update the results and we'll get our first week's rankings.

Almost "Solomon like" in his wisdom - this of course from someone who picked Miami - all kidding aside I want to congratulate all who had a part in setting up the Hognostication feature and am really looking forward to participating against 50 + fellow board members! What a kick-off!!
