All those games with an asterisk on them are subject to flex scheduling. Even if they're not moved to the 8:15 NBC slot, they can be moved to the 4:15 slot to replace some other game that IS moved to NBC.

4:15 is better than 8:15... :D

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but has anyone noticed how BRUTAL the Giants schedule looks?

Their first three games: vs. Ind, @ Phi, @ Sea. Then they have a bye week before they play us in the Meadowlands before they play @ Atl and @ Dal.

Later in the year they have road games @ Jax, @ Car, and the night game in Washington to look forward to as well as tough home games vs. Phi, Dal, TB, and Chicago.

I was looking at our schedule and saw something interesting. We are going to be like the San Diego Chargers were last year because we play three teams after they have had their bye week. Colts week 7, Eagles week 9, and Giants week 5. I don't know if this means anything, but I wanted to point it out.

Kind of sucks playing a team after their bye week, but a Joe Gibbs coached team will be prepared, the part that sucks is we will likely be playing a team that is relatively more healthy with that extra week off.

Virtually everyone has nagging injuries by week 7 or 8 so we may be a little more banged up, but I have been a Skins fan for along time, and I feel from an objective standpoint that we have the strongest team that we've had since the nineties this year.

The combination of Line Play, Run Game, Defense, Coaching and talent is at premium since 1991. In no season since 1991 have we had a legitimate team that was talented enough to rank among league leaders on Offense, Defense, Special Teams, and were soundly coached. We either had the offense, but average line play or defense, or a good defense and no offense, or a decent team, but poor coaching.

We even had a solid offense and defense under Spurrier, but then again, we had Spurrier.

This year we have a pretty good team on all three sides of the ball, and one of the best assemblances of minds under the headsets.

I feel very good about this year.

Looking at the AFC games, we could go 4-0 against that group - we get 3 of the 4 at home and I think we can handle Houston away!

Then you look at the rest and when we play them - this is looking very good for our team. I really think we got a much easier start to the season than the pukes and the giants early games are brutal. This could be a sad season for them - I hope no Mara funerals are scheduled this year.

Gibbs really likes Sunday games at 1:00 - I hope all our games for the next 3 years are at 1:00pm

Skins play at Indy.
I still think we'll beat them though.

Im sorry but Indy is a fraud and I dont ever see them winning a championship.

*If you stop Dwight Freeny you will annihilate their defense. Remeber all that whining I did for a pass rush? Remeber how I said it helps your corners look better. This is a prime example. Their secondary is LOADED with average players who will be raped and pilleged by our WR corps.

We have the scheme and the personel to keep him on lock.

*Stopping their offense is a bit more of a challenge. The loss of E. James will be a big blow to them and whoever they get to replace him WON'T be as productive. Well, at least I doubt he'll be. Whoever was 2nd behind him doesn't have the skillset James does. I think this will be a significant blow to the balance of their offense.

We have 2 corners who could possibly go up against their top 2 WRs.

Springs - Harrison
Carlos - The other guy everyone wants whose name I can't remeber, we'll call him OT.
Slot WR - The new guy we got.
4th - Jimoh/Morton/? should be able to handle that.

I'd almost swap Springs and Carlos for size matchups. Id keep Sean Taylor (air to air missle) back and move Artichoke up. Id love to keep him in the box to kill their RB and Taylor in the backyard to put OT and Harrison on their backs.

With our newly acquired pass rush, I expect to see our defense from 2004 come back. We couldn't do the exotic blitzes last year due to injury and lack of personel. We have the component we needed and its on now.

I'm tellling y'all right now, if anyone cannot make it to the games in the afternoon/evening, please consider selling your tickets to me. I cannot make the 1:00 games, since I'm in church 'til 12:30. Any chance I can get to make it to a late afternoon game (or non-Sunday game), I'll take. Thanks.

Thanks - this was my mistake as I should have remembered  BUT the THN schedule shows this as a home game

I also think we will win this game! I am not going to say we will go 16-0 as even the best will lose a game or 2 that they should win over a season but we look like we should win the NFC East and will be much improved on both sides of the ball this year.

A local channel will pick it up - probably the ABC affiliate.

... or you could get on craigslist and GO!

Take a look at what Tampa has to deal with. They could easily go 6-10. Bummer, huh?

A few thoughts:

Naturally, we have 6 division games. They are home and home so that's that and may the best team win. 4-2 is certainly realistic.

We have 4 games against the NFC South. We already know we can win in Tampa. The (tougher?) games against ATL and Car are at home. This is good. NOS on road should be a W. 3-1 is realistic.

We have 4 games against AFC Central. The only thing that could be better would be to have IND at home instead of TEN. We get the tough JAG at home and TEX and TEN should be Ws. 3-1 is realistic.

We have 2 strength-of-schedule games: VIK at home and at RAM. We already know we can win at RAM. They should be an improved team though. A split is realistic though 2-0 is not unrealistic.

Playing 3 teams after THEIR byes is not great but at least they are games where losses wouldn't be a shock anyway (@ IND, @ EAG, and @ NYG).

To me the only way this schedule could be better wouold be if IND were here and TEN were away. I smell 11-5. Let's hope we stay healthy - especially at QB.
