I'll miss you Ryan "The Stripper" Clark.

Not only did you play well, but you made the whole defense play well.

Good luck in Pittsburgh, Ryan

Well...not that humble...or team oriented...

Seriously, I like Clark and wich him luck, but his complaining about Archuletta puts a bad taste in my mouth. IT sounds like he just wanted to get paid and used this as an excuse...I don't blame him for wanting to get paid, but I do blame him for speaking bad about the team to the press in order to either excuse his shopping himself or to make him feel better.

Good luck Clark...but don't complain about the team that made this contract possible for you!

Clark was a solid contributor, good in coverage and a sure tackler. But where Gregg likes to use his 'position' is in the blitz game, and the reality was Ryan wasn't scaring anybody on the blitz. While having good speed, he didn't have the size of a guy like Archuleta, and in that respect he was a liability. I'm sorry to see Ryan go, he would've been great from a depth standpoint, but he made he clear he was not interested in going back to the bench.
Two formation shifts, one man in motion, and a counter trey...those were the days...

Yo Boss Hog you seriously believe Ryan Clark is a better tackler than Adam Archuleta? Dude Archuleta is as Joe Gibbs said "one of the best tacklers in the league" the st.louis defense has been bad since Lovie Smith left and it wasn't Arch's fault. You watch Sean Taylor's tenacity will rub off on AA and it's gonna be lights out.

"It's a wonderful day," Clark said. "I was at the airport, swinging my terrible towel. I was with a team with a great fan base now -- they're going to hate me for this -- but I'm with a team with an even better one. The beauty of it is I'm coming to a team that's already great. I'll just try to fit in and be part of this great organization." ...

What you think about this?

I don't like this move at all.

Clark is younger, cheaper, and BETTER than Archuleta in my book. I think this is a very bad decision by the Redskins.

I have learned to trust Coach Gibbs tho. Let's hope he is right once again.

I can't think of the last time we really rewarded one of our guys who came up from the bottom. I wonder if we'll retain Lemar when it comes time to redo his contract?

Both players signed four-year contracts. Clark's deal is worth $7 million and it includes a signing bonus of $1.7 million. Financial details on Keisel's contract were not immediately available.

Big money there, guess we couldn't afford him or he felt that he wasn't going to start.

Im still on the fence with this. Ive heard some good with a lot of bad in regards to Artichoke so we'll see when the season starts.

im on the fence too... I really liked Ryan and im kinda pissed that we dont seem to keep/offer homegrown guys acceptable contracts. But that being said, he is expendable. Its not like losing M.Washington or S.Tayolr or anything, and hopefully is Arch pans out we'll be in a better posistion. I think ryan clark is a pretty stand up guy, but some of the things he said were kinda weak. Better fans, core redskins and the like..
