Take it with a grain of salt.

I would love to have B Loyd! Especially for a 3rd and 4th. A 1st rounder would be too much, but you never know, at least he is somewhat proven. With rookie recievers it seems to take a long time to develop and many are busts... so at least we would know what we're dealing with.

Jake wrote:I don't really want Bryant, either. I still remember during Darrell Green's last game in 2002. Bryant scored a touchdwon and ran over to the Cowboys sideline and tore down a Redskins blanket a fan had hanging up on the sideline wall. I've disliked him ever since.

Bryant also had a run-in with the law at an airport before he got drafted.

Well, that says enough for me. What we don't need is another distraction. All we have to do is fill in a little here and there, and we're good. No more Prima Donnas.

That's why God gave me two hands. When one fails the other comes in real handy.

Okay, I will spill the beans on my source...like I said yesterday...my cousin was getting close to finalizing Koren Robinson's deal with the Vikings for 3 years 12.7...well the other team that he was negotiating with was the 49ers...as assurance he asked about the prospects of Koren being a #1 receiver there, and they mentioned to him that they were close to dealing Brandon Lloyd to the Skins for a 3rd and a 4th...of course, this is typical conversation that goes on between agents and GM's so it may not pan out, but just to clarify before we find out for sure.

My cousin is a Philly fan, so he calls me up in the morning and says "Brandon Lloyd??""in a joking manner and I'm like "What?" He says, "you guys are about to get Brandon Lloyd and from what I understand you will be dealing a 3rd and a 4th round pick for him."

I was like...uh...okay. Now I'm a B-Lloyd fan.

Are you saying you would not like this deal?
If you are what is wrong with giving up a 3rd and 4th for a starter?

OK.
At first I read your post as being upset for trading draft picks.

Why give up two decent picks for a WR when there are several UFA's out there that we could get for no compensation? My 2 cents

I hearing the price may have went up and now a #2 or two may be the asking price.

Looks like I'll have to get back on my AB bandwagon :(

I hear you, but apparently the Skins have done their research and think Lloyd is the guy they want...since they have a chance to get him then why not?

Also, keep in mind that we may get a 4th back for Ramsey, so there might only be a net loss of one pick. My 2 cents

The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that the deal is all but done on the Lloyd trade! If the skins get Randle El and Lloyd this off season will be a big winner!

I found the video of his career. the first part of the video was the one you will never believe he did it!

Here is a little scouting report.

Full Name: Brandon Matthew Lloyd
Born: July 5, 1981
Kansas City, MO
Height: 6-0
Weight: 184 lbs. Age: 24
Pos: WR
Experience: 3 years
College: Illinois
Drafted: Year:2003 Round:4 Pick:27, 49ers
Insider Analysis
Grade 72
Expert's Take Lloyd has marginal size for a receiver lacking both the ideal height and the bulk for the position. However, he makes up for his lack of ideal size with excellent athletic ability. He has very good foot quickness and good speed, though his top end speed is not in the elite class. He has a good surge off the line of scrimmage and runs precise routes. He has a burst coming out of his cuts to get separation and shows the ability to move a defender who is in man coverage with very little wasted motion. He uses his hands and his foot quickness to get off press coverage and knows how to find the voids in coverage. He has excellent hands and can make the acrobatic catch. He shows excellent focus and concentration on the ball when it is in the air, and with his long arms and his leaping ability, he will win most jump ball contests. He can be a threat with the ball in his hands and has a good feel for where he is on the field and where the sideline is at all times. He lacks the physical stature to be a physical blocker down field and is more of a screen and wall off guy. A big, strong defensive back can muscle him out of his routes on occasion. Overall, he needs to improve his strength and is becoming a reliable go-to receiver with excellent hands who is competitive for the ball in any situation. He usually catches what he can touch.

Redskins are reportedly interested in trading for Lloyd, who led the 49ers in receptions last year. A source close to Lloyd said Washington was prepared to offer a third-round choice this season and a fourth rounder in next year's draft. Lloyd, who apparently has been secretly seeking a trade, expected the deal to be completed.

A team spokesman said that coach Mike Nolan hasn't heard anything from the Redskins. Teams were prohibited from talking trade or from talking to another team's free agents until 9:01 p.m. PST Friday, when free agency officially opened.
