I agree Niki, but as we know there are a lot that like to speculate and I only look at it as just that. I would also like to add to your point about the coaches and what they have both done this past year and also how much more knowlegeable about our teams needs they are. These guys have done a pretty good job so far and I also have faith in their continuing to take our team to the next level.
The salary cap issues plus who is going to be able (or inclined) to re-structure their deal will have a big effect on a lot of players status.
I will say though we are very lucky to have players like Noble on D and Randy Thomas on the offense who will continue to provide leadership and set the standard on both lines.
I really look for Gibbs and his staff to add a few key acquisitions in free agency and then use the draft for depth. We also do not know if we are going to lose Ramsey and Arrington and what me may get in return.
Some interesting times ahead that's for sure. I agree with you though in that they have done a great job so far in the last 2 years and I look forward to seeing the product they assemble for this coming season.
A little over 100 days to the draft

Our team situation is good already. There is no need to get rid of anyone other than a few cuts the coach deems necessary. Hoping that Lavar can restructure his contract I really hope he can stay with the team. As far as what the team needs its not much. A young slot reciever in the draft could solve our 2 reciever. Another young d-linemen in the draft could also help. And I am hoping for Jason Campbell to be ready to take the helm next year. Thats all we need Improved Qb play, another option at reciever and heck we are vying for the SuperBowl. Our Defense is pretty much set already.Hail to the Skins.... Bring back Lavar.

Redskins12877 -- Betts is signed through 2006. Raymer is gone, the guy is like a beached whale (all washed up). That guy does nothing but "look-out" blocks...or holds. I saw him hold on one play, in space, and the refs must have felt sorry for the guy as they didn't throw a flag. It was so clear. Even the announcer said something like, Raymer is in slo-mo out there.
Weneedcharlesmann -- Maybe Chris Clemons takes LeVar's spot?
With respect to player turnover -- even good teams make at least 10 changes from year to year. Check out the Pats after they won the SB last yeat -- they may have changed out 12 guys. Hopefully, the turnover is to improve depth not replace starters.

I never thought I'd ever say this, but I hope Ade Jimoh stays. He's turned into a pretty good player, and we should try to keep our homegrown talent. He got torched early in his career, but I don't think he was ready to start then. He's made some HUGE special teams plays for us. You can' just get rid of guys that work to improve, and want to play special teams with ferocity.
I also wonder where we're going to get all the money to get Reggie Wayne, an all-pro LG, and whomever else people talk about.
Dockery is good enough. We can't have all high-priced talent on the line; our LT, RT and RG all make serious money. We do need some young depth on the o-line though, that was made abundently clear this year.
I think our needs are clear. A possession receiver as a #2, with Patten moving to the slot & being a top-notch slot receiver. Depth on the offensive line. And of course, a passrushing DE, but I think every team wants one (or more) of those.
I'd like to spend some of whatever money we have left on a pass-rushing DE, perhaps Darren Howard of NO.

Yeah Raymer has been good at least thats what I thought. I rarely see players pressure through his side.

Based on the following AP article LaVar is open to reworking his contract but I think he is gone. To much already been said.
"Interestingly, Gibbs said he didn't meet with LaVar Arrington, whose future is also uncertain. The three-time Pro Bowl linebacker reiterated the remarks he made following Saturday's game, when he said he wanted to return and expressed some regrets for criticizing the team publicly during this season. He also said he is open to reworking a contract that currently stands to count approximately $12 million against the salary cap next season."

Just saw Rock Cartwright on Comcast. He is a free agent and his quote was "I want to remain a Redskin, put that on t.v!"

LaVar Arrington - will be back
Patrick Ramsey - i doubt he'll be back
Cory Raymer -
Matt Bowen - if he's going to cost a lot he'll be gone
John Hall - he needs another GOOD kicker to be brought in to give him a run for his money
Walt Harris - needs to return!
Brandon Noble - need to hang his cleats up. he's tuff, great guy and player but can't stay healthy. id love to have him but i dont want this guy to keep ripping his body to shreds.
David Patten - i could care less if he came back.
Royal - may come back but we need another TE to push him down on the depth chart
Clark - needs to be one of the 1st players resigned
Rock - ...i'd bring him back due to being versatile. he can play RB well and is a beast on S.T.

I want to say that Raymer is a serviceable center. The game you were atching had him out of position due to Ray Brown's injury...he's not a guard now, if he ever was one.
He came in cold, and did what he could.
I don't want to assume that anybody knows what a different world it is from center to guard.
Corey's alright...as a backup center.

I agree wiht CLL.
Before we do
anything, we need to re-sign Ryan Clark.
And I really like Matt Bowen, but it seems that we have mass depth at Safety already (Pierson, Omar, Ryan, Sean(hopefully

)...
So unless we can resign Matt dirt cheap, I think we should let him go...
