I'll be suprised if Gibbs lets him play against Seattle
Is it True????

Will S Taylor receive a automatic 1 game suspension because of the spitting incident and getting ejected, which will mean he misses the Seattle game.

do a search, there's like 3 threads on the subject already. I think you have to worry if Gibbs will suspend him, that's the question.

YOU'LL BE SURPRISED! IF SEAN TAYLOR DOESN'T PLAY IN SEATTLE WE'LL LOSE, did you see the middle of the field and how it was used and abused once ST was out, No Way, Gibbs plays our best defensive player.

I know, and it pains me to say it, but this is exactly the character flaw Gibbs despises.

Agreed. You have to balance things out a little. There's no way, with a depleted secondary, that you hold a guy out because somebody said he spit on somebody else.

by welch
I believe Taylor did spit on the guy, because the official said sao, and the official was standing right between them. Better view than TV, where all we could see was the two players facing each other, the official separate them, and then the Buc hit Taylor.
And I remember that Bengals receiver with the unprouncable name said, last year, that Taylor had spit in his face. Bad history.
But, wow...what a player to lose, if the Redskins lose him for next game!

Is there a precedent for this ? Why does everybody call him Romanowski for this ?

Yeah he was accused of spitting on TJ Houshmendazhahdsghag last year, but when the league reviewed the tape, the evidence was inconclusive.

you guys are not seeing things. their was no spit anywhere to be seen. the ref took pittmans word for it. when it supposedly happened, the refs face was pointing down. you know what, pittman is a thug. he has been in trouble numerous times for spousal abuse. a couple of years ago he got into a figh with his wife & rammed his humvee into his wifes BMW with his small kid & his babysitter in the car. i wouldn't believe that scum bag for as far as i can throw.

What if I help you throw him ? We should be able to get a few feet then, no ?

Please leave the moderating to the mods folks.
But he is right... so I'm merging this thread with the existing 'spit' thread.

I for one did not see any spit. I'm sneakily suspicious that the ref thought he might've and just reacted to what Pittman said. However, you HAVE to take the refs word that he saw spit. They are professionals and they are the officiants of the game. What they say, unfortunately sometimes, goes.

Taylor DENIES accusation of spitting. If so, then the call was complete BS.
"I believe in the kid," Williams said. "A lot of people don't see him behind the scenes the way I do. I love the kid. I'd adopt him as my own son. Sometimes I think I have him as my own son, or my own stepson. He said he didn't do it and I have to believe him. I'll take a look at the film before I talk with him."

Skins fans, worry not!!! I am a Giants fan and was pleased with the skins defense through out the entire game. As it relates to Sean Taylor, I personally did not see any spit come from Taylors mouth. The several angles that were shown were close enough to make a visual determination whether spit in fact came from his mouth. Furthermore, the referee who threw the flag was clearly looking to the left of the players at the ground. He did not acually see the alleged incident. For some reason or another the referee took Pittmans word that Taylor spat in his face....
Once the league views the footage I am sure that not even a fine will be imposed on Taylor. It is clearly a he said she said case. The fact that no penalty was thrown on Pittman for hitting Taylor in the head leaves me dumb-founded!!
Great job skins on "D" and good luck next week

)
P.S. Seems to me based on Pittmans past off the field antics, his behavior off the field has caught up to him...

I feel that the ref threw the flag for unsportsmanlike conduct, whether there was any spitting or not.
I did not see any evidence of spitting either. But I saw ALOT of evidence about trash talk on both sides and punching by Pittman. The punch should have been called.
The NFL will look into this. I do not feel that he will be suspended by the NFL. He will be fined though. GW will NOT seat him. He already said he believes Sean. So do I.
Sorry Welch.

Yah right Pitman, oh sure we believe you.here a game storty quote from him.this coming from a guy who beats his wife.PUNK
There was a lot of trash-talking the whole game," Pittman said. "He spit in my face, and no man is going to spit in my face. ... He'd get a lot worse if it was on the street."

GW talked to Sean and he said that he did not spit on him. GW said that he did believe him. Personally I did not see anything to indicated spitting.

Sweet. Gregg Williams has always had a soft spot for Sean Taylor and I believe it when he says Sean Taylor is really a nice kid. Hopefully this means that Greg wants Sean to play next week and that the team won't suspend him. I trust Greg Williams.

I'm going through it again and I don't see it either. The ref is like 8 yards away and then goes to break them up. as he approaches to separate them Pittman hits Taylor. I don't see any spit at all. Therefore the alleged incident must've happened before the ref ran up to them. Which leads me to the questions: If it happened before the ref ran up to them then how could he see it ? I mean the ref was at least 8 yards away and behind pittman so how could he have the angle to see it ?
Still the ref is the officiant so what the ref says, goes
