Based on what?

Are you telling me you were perfectly happy the first 55 minutes of the game? And that you always knew that we would win?

I can't watch the skin's any more, they give me too much stress and grief. Watching the game yesterday raised my blood pressure so high I realized such loyalty is bad for my health.

I pledged to myself in the middle of the fourth quarter I will no long follow the skins after 14 yrs of love and I am only 23. Then those lucky bastards score 2 miracle TD's after playing like a real hill of stinking beans the whole game. Maybe I am the curse of the skin, ever since I began following them after the 91' SB win. The moment I announced my hate for the Skins they win, unacceptable.

Everyone knows that was a crap victory and our offense had not produced and cannot compete will the top teams of the NFL.

CLL knows better than to slap people around for being skeptical of Gibbs. He's just having fun.

This is why I also really thought about leaving the skins forever and hoped the Skins would Lose last night after such an ugly game. Many "Secondary Staff" as yourself have nothing good to say to loyal fans, with your blind bias.

Thanks friend, real stand up guy.

Guess that elementary school education really paid off, "Hailskins666".

No can stay last night game was too pleasing, we were 4 min away from getting Shut out and every single one us would have bet against the skins from even scoring one score with 4 min left the way our O look for 3 3/4 quarter.

Truth be told, we cannot expect to luck out every week and finish 8-8, can we? We need skills

We made a couple of plays at the end...and THAT'S GREAT! Fan and butt-kisser are two entirely different things.

Butt kissers are those of you who have a man crush on Ramsey...otherwise you wouldn't have your feelings hurt about him being benched.

I don't care if we put Brian Mitchell at QB if we win that is all that matters. Ramsey benched himself. He is an interception machine. He has to be the most loved, bad quarterback in history.

That's BS. No one has ever posted anything that even remotely supported the contention that Ramsey is an "interception machine," and at the same time, many, many people have posted many, many times concretely refutting that fact.

Really, where have you been for the past umm 3 years? If you don't know that Ramsey is interception prone, then I guess you also think that Troy Aikman started at QB last night.

Im sick of debating the Ramsey issue with people who can't see past their own eyelids. Ramsey is not very good. Perhaps Brunnell isn't very good anymore, but once and for all, Gibbs doesn't tolerate turnovers, and you can't win that way.

I guess you are also crying because Antonio Brown was cut too?? Same principle.

As far as 'concretely refuting' the stat that Ramsey throws a high rate of interceptions....please do tell what the heck you are basing that on?

No one is blindly following Gibbs, the point that you narrow minded people fail to realize is that winning is all that matters. Why do you care that we won the game with someone other than Ramsey at quarterback??? That just doesn't make sense to me.

Either you like the REDSKINS, or you like "The Redskins (but only when they have the guy that YOU want at quarterback"....give me a break.

Some of you are as bad as the sports illustrated guys and Fat Lenny. I wonder if any of you even know how football is played and what goes into it.

Did you really expect Brunell to click with WR's he's HARDLY practiced with?

Brunell tried on numerous occassions to get the timing and he did when it mattered most. This is the beggining of some sort of timing and chemistry with the WR's.

I think some of you think that when a new player comes to the time along comes his chemistry in a magic bottle that the QB drinks. Once he drinks that potion he doesn't need to feel his way into the timing.

Im not for Patrick of Brunell but for whoever is the starter.

Empty words not backed up by reality. Brunell threw an INT last night, and Betts lost a fumble, should they be benched or cut?

I dont remeber how many INTs Brunell threw during the preseason but I believe Ramsey was benched off of his preseason in addition to his gameday player.

Antonio was benched for his preseason play also which carried over into the opener.

Brunell and Betts hadn't shown any fumbilitus to my recollection during the preseason.

Everyone that attempts to minimize last night and pare it down into "2 lucky plays", as well as claim that Ramsey could have done just as well under all that pressure. . .I have to think that they aren't seeing what's going on here. It's the small things, the 'lucky plays,' that spark true changes on offense.

A few seasons ago we were 0-5, and were in a close match against Carolina. We got 'lucky' when Lavar returned an INT for a touchdown, and then 'lucky' again when Rod Gardner caught a downfield bomb to put us in position to win the game. 2 lucky plays amidst a game where we were just keeping ourselves in it. After that, we won our next 5 and finished the season 8-3 to go 8-8 and barely miss the playoffs.

The same kind of thing can be formulating here, and the fact that people are missing the point is why there are even threads like these. It isn't "well, for the first 55 minutes" because for all we know we might never see that same Redskins team from the first 55 minutes again. Sparks, little plays, momentum, confidence, they fundamentally change the way a team plays.

Let's face it, neither Ramsey or Brunnell are Peyton Manning. Also, Brunnell did outplay Ramsey in the preseason. I tend to agree with Michael Wilbon on this one. Gibbs' only fault was not starting Brunnell in the first place if he didn't trust Ramsey to be out there.

Ramsey won't be here next season, the Redskins will. That's the bottom line.

Ramsey needs entirely too much work. I like the cat be he's not worth bringing back because he's damaged goods. The redskins mistakes of the past have screwed Ramsey and I feel for him but this is a business and he was part of the learning process for the organization.

He's not going to be here next year, he doesn't want to be here and I doubt they want to invest time and money into a QB who may or may not "Get it" for another 2 years or so.

Jason is the future.

The key word is "a" meaning singular. Football is physical, all players can make a turnover.

But, when you do it OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN you end up holding a clipboard.

Your argument is borderline ridiculous. Lets me educate you but briefly.

1. Ramsey plays like crap in 2004 preseason. Brunnel named starter.

2. Brunnel gets injured against Giants. Ramsey comes in and throws 3 INTS in one HALF.

3. Brunnell stinks up the joint and gets benched (rightfully so)

4. Ramsey comes in and throws another 8 INTS in 7 games. But offense shows some life. Gibbs works with him all offseason, and STRESSES protecting the ball.

5. This preseason, Ramsey promptly goes out and throws 4 more interceptions in a little over 4 quarters.

6. Second pass of the season, throws another interception.

7. Benched.

Last year when Ramsey came in and threw 3 picks versus the Giants, all of the Ramsey boppers cried "No fair, he didn't practice with the starters."

Now Brunnel threw one interception in the game, and OH MY GOD HE SUCKS.

Get real.

Believe it or not, Joe Gibbs does know a good QB when he sees one. Ramsey aint it buddy. The quicker you get that, the quicker we can all move on and stop fighting over who will pack Ramsey's U-Haul this summer. He didn't bench Ramsey just to get on your nerves. He benced him because he hasn't grasped the most basic concept of Gibb's philosophy. Intelligence and game management.
