Good thing GW stocked up on safeties.
Actually after the sudden departure of Cory Hall I wouldnt say we're stocked at safeties.

We should NEVER EVER draft another player from the U of Miami. I do not care what comes out of this mess.
What a way to "avoid attention". Do you remember the quote by Portis:
Sean has had the spotlight on him all year. He just needs to chill...
What a way to chill!

ESPNRadio is reporting MDPD is looking for him, but no warrant has been issused. They are also requesting listeners to call in if they know where he is.

Lets all get a grip, Sean Taylor was seen near a shooting, the police don't know if he was a witness, a victim or a suspect...
Lets try to give ST the benefit of the doubt until the foreman/forewoman says "guilty"

.....his explicitave needs to be with his team in OTA's. Obviously Sean wasn't sitting on his front porch reading a newspaper when this happened because he hasn't turned himself in yet and there is no way that he can't know about it. I know his momma or his aunts sister saw this on the news, his called someone else, who called someone else who has his cell number and told him about it.
He's turning into K2 on us and he doesnt need a bike to do it.

I'm starting to wonder if the police are worried about Taylor. If they are asking listeners to call in, does no one have a clue where he is. Article on Washington Post said his mother and grandmother have not seen or heard from him since Wednesday. I am wondering if there is more to this story. His father is Chief of police in Florida City, I would imagine he could find him. But, who knows, you would also think his father would tell him to get to camp too. I don't know what to think of it all. He definitely has emotional issues. Even former U players have said he is a different cat.

I think the request for callers was a joke on ESPNs part.
If his on family can't get in touch with him then how can anyone expect Gibbs to be able to

Its not fine. He's not contributing to the team. He's being selfish. He might be putting his life in danger. He is putting his career in danger.
I know this much, he wont be getting a salary increase and Im glad.
Maybe Id change my mind a BIT if he was at these OTA's. If he was here lighting up the scene. If he was here teaching Carlos how to be a good rookie and avoid the troubles he had. If his head was in the playbook and studying film on opponents.
THEN MAYBE he'd deserve what he wants.

An ESPN link has been given in a previous post:
Police call Taylor 'person of interest' in investigation
ESPN.com news services
MIAMI – Miami-Dade County police were looking Friday for Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor, who they describe as a "person of interest'' in an assault case.
"We need to speak to him, we don't know if he's a victim, witness or suspect,'' said police spokesman Mary Walters.
The assault happened Wednesday night and shots were fired, Walters said. No one was injured.
Walters said she didn't have further details and police were still investigating.
Police have not issued an arrest warrant against Taylor.
Earlier Friday, Detective Robert Williams said "a person of interest" means Taylor could be a subject, victim or witness of an alleged crime and that the police department was looking for him.
Taylor's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined comment Friday. Taylor and the Redskins didn't immediately return phone messages seeking comment.
Taylor, who wants a new contract, has been working out in Miami despite pleas from coach Joe Gibbs to join the team in voluntary workouts at their home base in suburban Washington. He signed a seven-year, $18 million deal as the No. 5 overall draft pick in the 2004 draft.
The former Miami Hurricanes standout has had a tempestuous start to his NFL career.
He has fired two agents, was fined for skipping one day of the NFL's mandatory rookie symposium and was accused of spitting on a player during a game at Cincinnati, although he was not punished because the league said there was no video evidence.
He was also charged with drunken driving in October, when he was pulled over at 2:45 a.m. after attending a birthday party for receiver Rod Gardner. Those charges were dismissed in January.

Truly sad. If he was doing what he SHOULD be doing, none of this would have happened. This kid really needs to get his priorities straight. It's very disappointing. Gibbs has to be REALLY PO'd right now.

He needs to be sat on the bench beside Brunell, that'll put things in perspective real quick.

Doing what he should be doing??
He's not breaking any league or team rules.
Everyone is being WAY too dramatic

Citing sources within the Miami-Dade Police Department, Fox Sports Radio's Jorge Sedano reported that Taylor fired shots at the home of people he believed had stolen an all-terrain vehicle of his.

More hearsay.
Over dramatic? So you dont care that our star safety? The one thats supposed be the next R. Lott isn't practicing with the team?
It doesn't bother you that he's not building relationships with his team?
It doesn't bother you that he's not learning the NEW wrinkles in the defense?
It doesn't bother you that he hasn't answered Joes calls?
It doesn't bother you that he's involved in a shooting in some way?
It doesn't bother you that he was pulled over for a DUI?
It doesn't bother you that he supposedly spat on another player?
It doesn't bother you that he may or may not be holding out for more money?
None of this bothers you? This guy hasnt even started his 2nd year and look at that list?

This is pathetic, how much more does this young man has to do, skinsfan55, for you to see that this boy is a headcase.

Oh this is rich

very rich
Exactly, there is a possibility that he has fired shots at someones home.
Lets say that he's just a witness to the event, he's still getting into MORE trouble. This isn't his 1st infraction, he's into double digits. Last time I was in DC, and that was Sunday, I didn't see any drive by shootings for ATV's near Redskins park.

This is going to lead to AT LEAST a suspension by the NFL, I do not even want to guess what the Skins will do.
What a waste of talent!
