I absolutely refuse to give up anything more than a seventh and some cas---wait they're going to give us something back for Gardner? I'll take a 4th or a 5th. Seriously, Gardner was too frustrating for words with the Skins, we spent the 15th pick overall on him and he dropped the ball half the time it was thrown to him. Oh and he throws great parties, maybe he was a Puke Saboteur

What frustrated me about Gardner was his ability to make tough catches like the Dallas MNF comeback, and the leaping over the middle catch against Green Bay...but he will drop a hitch route, or run a curved off pattern. He is good trade bait though...

what really gets to me about gardner is his little first down routine in the event he actually catches a first down. the team can be down by 20 points, but yet if rod actually manages to catch a first down, he always has to do his little worthless routine. i could understand if it were for 50 yards, but 9 times out of ten, he got 10.0 yds, and acts as if he just got a TD in superbowl game..... RETARD. i'll bet rod wear's velcro cleats.... at least he is good for the occasional trick play.

Minnesota Vikings: In an effort to help replace Randy Moss, the Vikings have discussed a trade that would net Washington Redskins receiver Rod Gardner, likely for a draft pick, The Star Tribune reported.
Rob Brzezinski, Vikings vice president of football operations, said he has been discussing various trades but wouldn't comment directly on Gardner.
"We are looking at every way possible to improve our football team. That includes the possibility of a trade," Brzezinski told the paper.
Gardner caught 51 passes for 650 yards and five touchdowns last season for the Redskins.
Well, here is another TRADE DRAMA we can follow for 2 weeks....lets see if the Skins get shafted again.
Too bad Gardner's career totals are BETTER than Santana Moss's (and they were drafted the same year/same round).
tick tock, tick tock

My feelings exactly...drives me nuts!
Do your job and go back to the huddle....you get paid to catch the ball, stupid!

What about Gardner for Wiggins, not straight up but some combination involving the two? We need a big blocking TE and he has good hands.

Remember the good old days when a team was willing to give us their entire draft for our 1st round pick????????
Where is Ditka when we need him?
I will take a 4th rounder and a case of Yeungling Lager for Gardner.

maybe we could trade gardner for a time machine, and then go back in time and not draft him in the first place.

Fat Lenny is now proclaiming Gardner the hottest WR on the market. Hope that's true...

What are you guys thoughts? Is there any possible scenario of a trade involving Gardner & Wiggins.
i.e. Gardner for Wiggins straight up or Gardner, plus our 9th pick for Wiggins and their 18th pick.
I think Wiggins is a solid TE and not only does he have the playing skills (good size, speed and awesome hands) the coaches are looking for but he has also the playoff experience (two trips to the Super Bowl).

Who's going to miss Gardner? I know I will... just a little..
I mean he did catch 5 TD's last year, and you'd think that Darnerien McCants had immaculately impregnated a woman or soemthing because people were just gushing over his 27 catch season in 2003.
Gardner just needs more consistent play from his QB and more of a steady role in the offense, I fear that giving him up for a paltry 3rd or 4th rounder would be a monumental rip off.

I saw Wiggins play a couple times last year... he looks like a promising TE in the league... big guy... can catch... I don't know if Minnie would be willing to deal him especially with Kleinssaser(sp?) coming off a knee injury... but I'd do the deal straight up if he were offered...

You have to decide, smoot or gardner. I think that also gardner wasnt playing his hardest last year. If he went in the office and asked for a 2nd chance and gibbs gave it to him, then it would be ok with me. IF gardner stays then smoot is gone. there wont be any money there.

Eww are you serious? Gardner and our 9th for Wiggins and pick 18? What a friggin ripoff... I think youre underestimating the value 9 spots in a draft order

God no! I was just trying to get the ball rolling and it worked. I know they wouldn't do a straight up trade, but was just wondering what you guys thought they might consider.

Ya, if their dumb enough to go straight up, that would be a sweet deal. If they want to keep Wiggins, I'd take Kleinsasser but that's doubtful has he signed a big contract with them last year. Minnie will probably just keep them both and move Kleinsasser to FB/H-Back like

ey, that could be a really good move for them.

If we can't sign Smoot, maybe work some kind of combination deal for Smoot & Gardner for Any combo of Minnie players, draft picks, etc.
Maybe I'll just

Smoot is a free agent we'd have to resign him 1st...
it's a vicious circle isn't it

For me...it apparently seems so. I don't know what I was thinking.
