I think Moss's year was hampered by Pennington's arm troubles. He seemed to do pretty well in the two playoff games though.
Jets fans better hope that they don't have an arm hampered quarterback throwing to a toe-hampered receiver!
Moss coming to Redskins afterall!?!

... yeah, he was our #1 on the depth chart ... unfortunately he wasn't quite able to live up to that billing with his performance ... he basically would fall more likely under a 1A type of billing ... mccairens didn't have as many touches, but he was solid for us ... made the tough over the middle receptions & basically came up with a lot of clutch 3rd down / keep the chains moving type of catches for us
... both of them basically are below average #1 receivers, but top shelf #2 receivers ... not quite as good as a healthy coles, but very good receivers in their own right...

I don't blame this past season on Moss at all. Just like I don't blame this past season on Coles.
For Moss it was mostly the Jet's offensive coordinator Paul Hackett...he just fed the ball to Curtis Martin..then towards the end Pennington muffed his shoulder up and Moss had Quincy Cart for 3 weeks and during that time the Jets scaled down the game plan for Carter.
Coles lost a step I think...and the Skins O-line did not open up the running game for Portis...and Gibbs was way to conservative. All will change next season...I hope.
PS - I have heard a lot of sound bites today from Santana Moss on the potential trade.....
HE EMBRACES IT! GOOD ATTITUDE! PROBABLY BECUASE HE KNOW THAT:
REDSKINS + SNYDER = $$$$$$$$$$$

I'd still say no to moss plus a 2nd rounder. If Coles wants out of his contract, then he needs to give up the entire bonus. It's that simple. We can make him play if we want to. If he wants out, why the heck would he think he could keep his bonus? That bonus was paid to him for playing the length of the contract. I'd make him play for us and if he had any attitude problems, he could sit at home, collect his check and not play football, until he came to his senses. It's the only way to handle it as far as I'm concerned.
This trade scenario is ridiculus, and I hope Gibbs has the same thoughts about it as I do...

jets get: coles
skins get: moss and a 2nd round pick
sounds good to me
Sounds good to me to. Coles would have to give his entire bonus so he doesn't put us in cap hell.

He is only 185 pounds. Can he withstand the 3 yard hitch route.
Can he take the punisnent our receivers took last year.
Our WR corp got smashed last season.
Joe will have to send this one down field or to the sidelines.
