It wasn't an interception. It was a failed 2 point try. Just like having an extra point blocked.

Ten period -- air, ground, whatever -- as long as it's not touched by someone on the kicking team.
If the receivers touch it before it goes 10, the rule becomes moot and it's a free ball.
