Gibbs has 2 and 3 TE sets, does he not?

DMac's 2004 stats: 5 rec, 71 yards, 0 tds -
great number 1 receiver

Take the burgundy and gold blinders off and see how we haven't improved our offensive personnel.

guess we disagree. I think Royal is a pretty good blocker, and getting better all the time. Gibbs uses 2 TE sets, not 3 though. We have like 4 TEs on the roster, and Cooley can always jump up on the line for 2 TE sets.

There are always TEs available regardless.

DMac will be our possession receiver by default if he chooses to take it.

Has this guy posted again since #25, or do I need to call 911?

Only if he's a bad shot. Otherwise just call a coroner.

#1 receiver? While I don't believe in designating them, I'll do so for you under the definitions I think most people use. DMac will be our #1 receiver. He'll be the over the middle guy who makes the tough catches. The guy you trust to make the catch and get a couple extra yards after the catch. That answer satisfy you?

Wow. I was actually starting to agree with some of your posts but then you had to go and write that. DMAC will be our 5th receiver next year, and if Gardner stays DMAC will either be cut or be put on the practice squad. Last year he wasn't even activated so don't expect him to play a prominent role in the offesne this year. Moss and either Patten or Gardner will start. Next in line for catches will be Jacobs, followed by Thrash. After that, if he's even active, MAYBE DMac will get some balls thrown his way. But my guess is that if Gardner stays DMac gets cut.

if Rod stays, it throws everything into a scramble.

Here's how I see it then,

Patten is #1, Rod and DMac compete directly for possession WR spot which we'll call the #2 WR, Moss #3, Rod/DMac(whoever doesn't start) is #4 and Jacobs is #5. Thrash will be strictly a special teams guy and situational WR.

I also think we will run a lot more 3 WR sets next season...

I thought we had had today the WORST draft in our team's history. But after reading this quote and knowing that Joe will talk to Rod, EVERYTHING will be fine from now on because he will stay...

What else can go wrong today???

Yup -- Royal and Cooley.

H-back is nothing more than the pass-catching TE that's in motion a whole lot.

These were good picks!!!!

What, you don't trust JG?

Not when it comes to evaluating talent! There is zero proof that he is a good judge of talent. The ambiguosly gay duo (Vinne & Danny) have not shown any ablility in this area either so I think a healthy dose of skeptasism is in order.

Stick to coaching Joe...stick to coaching.

I keep hearing people say that it is a good pick because Brunell will be gone...and Campbell will be backup, whell then that would be great but after Gibbs saying his loyalty for Brunell and the cap hit we would take...how will we get rid of brunell?
