Like the announcer guy said, we aren't by any means being blown out in these games. I am bummed because we lost. I'm glad it came at the end of the day. That way it didn't ruin a whole Sunday. But we will right this ship. I'm willing to stick around and watch it happen. I just hate Ray Lewis. I wish we could have beat him of all people. Damn murderer.

I don't think Pat will start (I could be wrong) but I think we will see him next week if Brunell comes out the way he played today

Well I was just pondering whether or not the hit Brunnel took, where he got up gimpy, was effecting his play? Any experts want to let me in on whether that is a possiblity or not??

well niki, i can say that i am an expert and no, it did not afeect his play...he just sux!
ok...so maybe i'm not an expert, but I don't think it had anything to do with his awful play. Did you see him play well earlier in the gamae? I didn't.

Yeah he did play "better". No wonderful. But it wasn't as bad. I honestly thought we'd see Ramsey at that point. I mean it's ok to stick with your QB but come on, enough is enough.

ok...i can tell by my typing that it is time to log off. sorry we lost and let's hope Ramsy starts next week. We HAVE to give him time with the first stringers to learn this "complex" offense.

Brunell is terrible...83 yards??? throwing into the dirt...he just looks confused out there....#1...he should ALWAYS be in a shotgun when passing...#2...he is hopping around too much #3...somebody HAS TO BE OPEN...put Ramsey in NOW.....does anyone really think Brunell is going to pull this out??? he basically lost the game with another lost fumble...granted Betts blew it..but he should of seen it coming and got rid of the ball quicker.

Yep, that'll make sure the line learns how to block. It'll keep Brunell from running when they actually do block. And best of all it'll in no way tip off the defense when you're going to run or pass. Those defenses need all the help they can get, you know.

Welcome to the board bluesman
This is the worst I've seen Brunell play but we can't blame him for everything that went wrong tonight. The special teams gave up a TD, that being said the rest is on Mark and I'm surprised Joe didn't pull him. Maybe we'll see Ramsey next week (if we are lucky) because Brunell is steadly going down hill

Joe Gibbs has a system and he returned to the Skins with that system he knew he would have to make some adjustments because he had been away for 12 years. If you saw Gibbs on the sidelines with about 3 minutes left in the game tonight you could almost see the wheels turning. I think he has now realized that changing QBs mid season (not due to injury or personal issuses) is a part of the new NFL. Along the same lines I thought it was stupid for Gruden to bench B Johnson this week for Simms and look what happen (sure Simms got hurt and Griese led them to the win) they won Gruden just shook things up a little thats what we need before it's too late. That's right I'm not counting us out of anything yet

It was a blind-side hit. Betts made a terribe block. A fraction more time, a fraction opf a second delay, and Brunnell would have been moving the ball forward...INC, not funlble.
BUT, Brunnell did not move the team. That looks, from our TV view, like OL not blocking, and rreceivers not getting open.
Brunnell played poorly in the last quarter, and I don;t belive it was a problem with his having been hit.
So, and I hate to start talking about this, (a)maybe Ramsey should start.
(b) The OL looked missed blocks
(c) Portis looks uncertain.
What oart of the offense looks good?

skinz74 wrote:I'll give you the blindside sack...but the ill advised pass into double coverage was ALL Brunell...as was about 10 balls thrown at receivers feet. AND yes that my friend I can put all on Brunell.
absolutely, there is no doubt that Brunell did not make smart decisions, and some of it was his fault, but even so that interception didn't lead to a touchdown by the Ravens
whatever, doesnt matter, either way you looked at it he played poorly and didnt get us in the W column
