He can but for some reason, he refuses to. Honestly, the line isn't giving him much time. And when he does, I think he's getting antsy back there. He doesn't seem to trust his instincts...if he has any. Plus, he likes to stare his receivers down.

I agree, but I think I know why. If he starts taking chances he may feel as though he could lose the starting job. I think he is doing just enough for Shanny not to get benched.

Yeah... I could see that.

He's a secret hidden gem .... 30 year old QB who has never won an NFL game, overlooked for years by everyone, EXCEPT Mike & Kyle Shanahan.

The two geniuses.

All signs of a QB that is not very confident in what he is doing. We are back to preseason football again. Not good other than to lose games and pick up positions in next year's draft.

Which is what we need. #shrug I expected 3-4 years to really get the team right. Everyone else thought it'd take 1-2 years. That's absurd.

Here's the thing. Lots on here can't help but understand that we're rebuilding and part of that process is VERY UGLY!!! This is exactly what you do. You get guys in here that know the system and can teach the young guys. As a QB you take your lumps and it is what it is. Welcome to rebuilding.

And for those of us few that can see past our nose, we are treated to watching atrociously bad football.

I'd say rookies stepping up (Hank and Helu) and the defense playing well. If we have an impact draft and FA the same way we did on D for our O we could be sitting pretty. All starts with a decent QB though, somebody get beck some glasses.

Me too. I mean the most evident hole is Quarterback...but the team is slowly being rebuilt from the Zorn years. Takes time, as you noted above.

Really? Which of the last 8 games do you see us winning 4 of ? Or even 3, to match last year?

Ok... Chris here is a news flash for ya.

Teams can't win with out a QB.

Yes i think the skins did a great Job in this years draft and that's HOW YOU REBUILD.

NICE to see the youth playing today.

However Shanny is headed into Year three and we need to get your Field general next year if not then we are screwed.

You can't win in NFL with out a a franchise QB and I'm having serious doubts right now if Mike Shanny can get us one. Would not surprise me if he blows it next year. I'm going on what he has done so far In Washington not his past. Mcnabb,Grossman, Beck...Not good.

What would Kyle have been in Houston with out Schaub????????? Not Jack Sh&^. Thats what.

And Shaub has looked shakey without Andre Johnson. Take away Arian and Tate and he's mediocre.

Shaub has arguably the best RB in the game, a backup RB thats almost as good AND a great offensive line.

What's really funny is none of these guys were here w/out a Shanny disciple. Texans traded for Shaub who was a backup in Atl. The RBs were both Jr's guys. The line was the HC's idea to improve which just made sense based off of David Carr's career there. That's called building a team and it took the Texans about 10 years to get where they are today. Which is about medium in a weak division this year without Manning and the other teams stinking imo...
