OH Snap.....only 1 ball to give
It's gotta go to Breeland... He manned up against a beast receiver... and kicked his ass.
Yes, it was a stunning performance from him tonight. He looked like a legit #1 CB out there.

Agreed, I was so worried about our corners holding up in coverage coming into this game and they played lights out, especially Breeland. Oh and i loved him staring down Dez after the last play and found it absolutely hilarious to see Weeden run over to defend Dez. Best part of the game for me.

Well, that was worth staying up until 3.45am for!!!
Thought I'd be shattered today but I'm just buzzing from that win.

Nice game against the Pokes...special kudos to McCoy, Breeland, Reed, and Jackson...and where the hell has this defense been hiding out all season? We may have a little something starting to brew here...

Didn't see that, but I thought it was hysterical that Dez was calling for a flag when Breeland clearly had position all the way across the field, and if anything the interference would have been on him.

I swear receivers are taught to give the "throw the flag" signal whenever a pass is not caught by them...much like the acting punters do whenever a defensive player hits, or even touches them...

HEY RIGGOFAN - DO YOU NOW SEE WHY I WANTED ROMO IN THERE?

I guess? Romo didn't lose that game for them though. Cowboys' play calling at the end of that game was atrocious. I guarantee you if you look at any of the Dallas newspapers today that is what the story will be. Demarco Murray tearing off eight yards on every rush and Garrett or Linehan or whoever is calling throw after throw. Crazy!!!

It was a crazy game but then again if it had played out with the pukes players and coaches playing to their level and our guy playing to our level we would not be having a lot of fun right now ...
that's what I've been posting this season - we are not as bad or as good as most think - we're an OK team playing in a division that has a bunch of teams that despite their records are all pretty even - not good but not bad either
It is still my opinion that the pukes, Redskins and eagles are about even and the giants are not as good
always good to beat the pukes and even better when they are heavily favored, at home
this season is still about finding the players & coaches that we can build around and hopefully winning the divisional games

Yeah I think the Cowboys showed who they really are last night. Their defense is their flaw just like everybody expected. Their offense has done a good job keeping them off the field up to this point. In all of their wins, they've been on the field for like 25 minutes or less I think. Last night we had them out there for 38 minutes.

I agree with that, and I think you can say that about most teams in the NFL. Broncos may be the exception. Pretty much every team has at least one big flaw.
SkinsJock wrote:It is still my opinion that the pukes, Redskins and eagles are about even and the giants are not as good
That equation will really change if Romo hurt his back last night. My thought on the division is that these four teams are largely even in terms of strengths and weaknesses. The Eagles just seem to be the most consistent and probably the most well coached IMO.
We still have some big flaws, but you gotta admit our WR corps has to be among the top five in the NFL. Jackson/Garcon/Roberts/Reed - can you remember a better group on this team? Those guys made some unbelievable plays last night.

Breeland was fantastic, gameball for sure! Merriweather had a powerful game too, he deserves a piece of the gameball. Riley had a positive impact as well, some critical plays.
That last play reminded me of Darrel Green and Michael Irving in the SuperBowl, Breeland was fantastic. The sweet part is knowing Dallas planned that pass because Breeland is a rookie and they expected him to get called for pass interference. There is little doubt that Bryant was intimidating and taunting Breeland, trying to rattle him.
McCoy is looking good back there, mighty good.
Go Skins!

agree with you on the weapons - we have a number of very good players
on offense the lack of yards from Morris is a big concern - on defense the lack of a good secondary & depth along the D line is a concern
Breeland and Amerson REALLY played well last night but we need to be able to get pressure from 3 or 4 and not have to send everyone
mind you - a number of guys are making a statement that they want to be a part of things here
that was a lot of fun last night - old fashioned, down to the final play - like days of old

True. I thought they did better with Morris last night. He finished with 18 carries, 73 yards and a TD. Helu and Redd added another six carries for 35 yards. That's not terrible - he doesn't have those HUGE gaping holes like Murray gets from his line. Gruden stuck with Morris when he wasn't getting the yardage early and it seemed like it paid off.
I noticed on one of the replays what a great job Morris does blocking for the QB btw.

our running game helped last night - no doubt
and Morris is showing that he's come a long way with his ability to not only pick the right guy to block but also with his blocking

http://www.redskins.com/media-gallery/v ... e-day.htmlThe first link is their talk in the locker room. The game balls went to Amerson and Breeland. I think that was very appropriate!

Breeland with 4 pass deflections is impressive and how clutch he was at the end of the game.

You're right, had to be divisional playoff. I remember the picture on the front page of the Washington Post, it was an incredible play.

Not taking away from anybody on this team, but you cannot forget The Posse. 81,83, and 84 were all very bad dudes.

The only time we've played the Cowpies in the playoffs were the '72 and '82 NFC Championship games (neither of which Irving was in the NFL for). I remember the game you're thinking of, though. DG separated Irving from the ball on the last play (or at least Dallas' last play) of the game to preserve the win.
