I am ready for the playoffs! I hope I get to play LPJ in the first round so we both gotta win this week. Of course, deadskins would like me to *rest* my studs so he has a better chance on getting into the playoffs haha

THN Fantasy Football League - Playoff Update
Semis:
Laughing Hyenas (5) vs. Yogi Cappasta (1)
Teeters Hogs (6) vs Shannys Tanline (2)
The Hyenas and Hogs advanced by winning each of their quarterfinal matchups by less than one point - aka a pube.

The Laughing Hyenas took down Yogi Cappasta while Teeters Hogs eliminated Shannys Tanline.
The Hyenas appear to have it wrapped up as they lead the Hogs going into the Monday Night game. The Hyeans lead while the Hogs have no players in the game.

LPJ - a few thoughts:
14 teams was kinda cool in that it made for 13 1-1 matchups with playoffs ending in week 16 when real teams were still trying.
I'm glad we gave points for passes defensed.
We should (perhaps) consider 25 yards per point for QBs instead of 20.
I have a few more but forgot.
Is there any way to get 2011 THN Fantasy stats from yahoo?

Enjoy temporary peace in your league. It is only a matter of time before The Hogster Dynasty begins. It may be now, it may be later. But, it's inevitable.

The draft will be sweet. Really want to smack you around here but I guess I'll have to wait.
See you in the war room.

Thanks for the input.. I will be revamping the scores/stats but I'll tell you right now that we're probably going to go 15yds for 1 point with QBs.. so basically opposite of what you want.

I'll also be looking at the point system for IDPs to see what I can come up with. When I'm done I'll put it out there as a feeler for input but no one should expect it to sway from what it will be.
14 teams is a lot but considering how many people still didn't get to play it turned out to be good. Two people in particular won't be returning so I'll give one of those spots to the Hogster and I'll deal with the other one later. I think someone pm'd me about joining so even that spot may be gone.
As for the Yahoo question, yes indeed you can run it on your mobile phone. They actually release a Yahoo app for that but its "eh-ok" at best, nothing to be like woooohoooo about but it gets the job done. CBS is the superior platform but there is a cost associated with that so we stay with Yahoo because it really is the best free platform out there. What's nice is that every player has history on their profile so you can see how good your competitors are. For example if you looked me up you'll see I have six fantasy football trophies.. pretty cool how they do it for real.

2 things:
The yahoo question is about LAST YEAR'S STATS. Any way to get them?
You know if you go 15 yards a point guys like Rogers will be having 60 point weeks, right?
Not complainin', just sayin'.

THN played a fantasy football season last year. Is there any way to get league's stats from THAT season?
I can't find them.

They may not be there now, but when the new season starts, you can go back an look at previous year's stats for recurring leagues.

The Yogi lets his play speak for itself. Rookies into our league have to earn the respect of veterans.

@ Darth
Go into your Yahoo and pull up fantasy football. You'll see "THN" on there and you can look into it yourself. I'm not sure about the stats stuff though, is there something in particular you'd like to find out though?
The reason for the points change for QB is simply because we just want higher scores. LOL. Sike naw, what it does is gives QBs a chance to give you numbers while they may not have plays that stretch the field like let's say Ben/Rivers/Drew who throw the ball downfield more times than not.

GEARED UP FOR ANOTHER THN FANTASY FOOTBALL SEASON???
WELL IF YOU JUST CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER, YOU CAN GO AHEAD AND START TO PRACTICE YOUR DRAFTING SKILLS ON ESPN. RIGHT NOW THEY HAVE MOCK DRAFTS AVAILABLE AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO JOIN ANY LEAGUES!!
I DID ONE LAST NIGHT AND SOME PERSON, WITH THE 1ST PICK OF THE ESPN MOCK DRAFT SELECTED..... CAM NEWTON!!!
I TRIED TO GET HIM TO JOIN MY PAID LEAGUE BUT HE WOULDN'T RESPOND!

Cam Newton going 1st overall in fantasy isn't THAT much of a stretch. He puts up huge passing and rushing numbers and I think he can be even better this season. That said, I would still take Rodgers or Brees before him.
What do I know, I haven't won any of my leagues since Shaun Alexander was tearing it up *sobs*

Well that's just it bro, you passed on Rogers/Brady/Calv.Johnson/McCoy/Welker who put up huge fantasy numbers per game last year.. as good as Cam was, he wasn't in the conversation with those guys (fantasy wise). Also, how effective can Cam be now that teams have game footage of him? Not saying he won't repeat but I wouldn't pick him ever over those guys I just named.

Wow I was just trhinking that I havent done fantasy football since Moss's first year on the team. I started out 7-0 but just won two more after that.
