Passer ratings are over-rated.

Except in this case it's not.

He played like a first rounder today for the first time in THREE years, so I won't admit I'm wrong.

btw, thank you thank you thank you, to whoever it was that found this sopcast thing. I killed my relationship with direct tv this year, and being able to watch the game online is a godsend!

If this team plays like this for the rest of the season (huge if, I realize) they are going to be very tough to beat.

First downs:
Lions: 11
Redskins: 23 (split about evenly)
That tells more than Cambells's passer rating or anything else.
Time of pssession: 34 - 25 in favor of Redskins.
That is Joe Gibbs Football.

as campbell matures we will start putting teams away. The very best thing about the team for me this year, is that they are NOT being predictable. That bomb to Moss in the eagles game that we missed started it. Every week since then, I've noticed that we are becoming less predictable. It's about time. This offense is going to be scary once Campbell gets more experience.

Forgot one state:
Kitna sacked five times
Campbell sacked no, none, zero times.

i don't want to be a pessimist but im still worried about our offense putting people away in the 2nd half. detroit hung in there far too long. but a great win and ill certainly take it

Wasn't Detroit supposed to have an overpowering offense? All that 4/5 wide receiver stuff, and two big, fast guys?
The 4th quarter showed Washington 18, Detroit 0.
That's "put-away" time.

the reason we aren't putting teams away is because of campbells inexperience. That will go away as he gets more time. Our one loss was caused primarily because of that ineperience. The kid looks awesome though. Nothing unnerves him. Every failure is a learning experience. This team just feels different...
My eternal optimism I suppose.

How about McCardell getting a couple nice ones. Hail to Sean Taylor, Hail Jason Campbell, Pete Kendall is our lines MVP right now what an addition, if only the stinking Jets could've come through, oh well nothing stains this win 34-3 against the #1 Passing attack in the league right now! Let's enjoy this one as much as we hated the game that must not be mentioned, and then we have some guy named Favre to think about.

It was great to see him get the pick and touchdown. I actually expected him to play better against the bigger receivers. He has trouble usually against the quicker smaller guys.
Once again great pick way to cap a game!
