Agreed. Let's focus on what is likely to happen.
Rumor is the Rams already are shopping the the pick... asking two 1s and two 2s... price will only go up.
In other words: see title of this thread.
Not worth it in my opinion. If you're not getting Luck, whose worth a future mortgage.

We need a QB - this FO will find a way to NOT have Grossman or Beck starting here next season - that is an upgrade
This franchise used to give up draft picks, bring in the latest & greatest free agents with no regard for how or if they fit in here AND on top of that, let players go that we should have kept
let's continue to build through the draft and not go back to operating like we did
we are not giving up our top 4 draft picks in the next 2 drafts - that is STUPID to even consider
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

He'd better come out for our sake. But, I'd understand if he stays. He might get that #1 money.
My Hognostication is that he will become eligible for THIS coming Draft.
Nobody announces a Press Conference in the same place where Reggie Bush and Linehart announced their choice just to do otherwise. May be I can get this ognostication RIGHT for once this season.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Leinert stayed for his senior year, though, remember? Leinert likely would've been the #1 pick had he come out after his junior year, but he chose to come back to USC for one more season.
Hopefully Barkley adds to the QB mix this coming draft
we will be better at QB next season - that's a given

Agreed. I saw an interesting tweet today, I think it was from Peter King, basically arguing that Barkley would be better off coming out this year, getting drafted somewhere in the top 10 (but not number 1), than waiting a year and going #1 to some 1-15 or 2-14 franchise.

I think that is good reasoning. So much depends on the team around the QB.
Barkley may or may not come out but ... he will be gone when we pick
Be nice to get Griffin or Landry Jones
we'll continue building this team along the same lines that we've seen here recently
any free agent or QB they bring in to start will be an upgrade over what we've had - we will continue to see these guys add to the players they have and we'll be right in the mix to challenge for the NFC East next season
the key is to draft a QB they can get ready and not rush him - we'll be fine offensively as long as we continue to build around the players we have and not make mistakes like we did with Williams and Davis
We should add to our offense in this draft
Actually we have seen a lot of players get playing time here recently that will help our offense
hopefully we'll continue to see who we can build around

Man that would screw the Skins, I mean no Barkley, RGIII, or Landry Jones
That would be a huge BUMMER. I've heard the noise on RG3 and Barkley, but Jones too? Hopefully one of them will come out once they realize that next year's draft will look just like this one with all of them coming back.
I also heard on ESPN980 that the rumor in the league is that it would take 4 #1 Picks to get into the 1 spot.

And Sonny puts Luck as the third best of RG3 and Barkley. Phill Simms said he doesn't really see what is so special about Luck and doesn't think he has the arm strength to make all of the NFL throws.
But either way if Luck is the only one of the four that comes out we better get used to the idea of the team drafting something oher than a QB in the first round. If they take a stud OL or CB I would be fine.
I will be livid if they take a WR!!! Can't justify a WR when you need three new OL, a starting CB, S, and NT and of course a QB.

I agree with this. There is a good interior lineman coming out of Stanford and a good RT coming out of Iowa.
LSU also has a CB that should be available when we pick.
we're not getting Luck to play QB - we are going to see a FA QB here and we will draft a QB and get him ready to play
Grossman will most likely stay as insurance
we have other too many other issues - we need top continue to re-build
most important after the QB situation here is the OL - there are other issues offensively but most important is the OL
The next area of concern is the DL (and front 7 - bring back London, PLEASE)
the secondary will look a lot better when we can consistently get pressure on the QB WITHOUT blitzing
we are not far off but I do not see these guys reaching for a QB just like they refused to cave last draft
THE QB SITUATION IS KEY but we do not need to give up building this team to just add a stud QB this year - NO WAY

The front 7 is the STRONGEST part of our team. You are starting to ramble. Let's just focus on the topic here...QB!
