I pick Stallworth over AA because on my list I had 3 young WR's and I was going with Vets, and I just believe that Donte can be inactive for 3 games straight and can answer the call if needed.

I expect the roster to be fluid early. Especially when Buchanon is back.

Assuming we stay with 8, which I doubt, we still have multiple rookies and two return men so he still could play. As the season goes on it probably depends how fast the coaches want the rookies to play. I personally think he's better then AA anyway. We'll see.

So? If Carolina had offered him a contract to join their active roster, you don't think he would have taken it? There is an advantage to having a player on your PS as opposed to another team's. You not only get to train him the way you see fit (ie in your system), but you also get to keep tabs on his progress. But that still doesn't stop teams from raiding other's PSs.

There is an age old adage that you get the ball in your playmaker's hands often. When he gets healthy, I expect to see Banks used more with the offense. You saw Shanny tinkering with him in the wildcat last year. For now, he is a specialist.

It's anyone's guess, but I would expect someone whom has potential to land on PS might be released. Just a guess, but our numbers suggest someone is still on the bubble. All in all, I think our draft proved to be a good one at this point with the number of rookies that made it.

Having a specialist is the only reason to keep six receivers much less eight

So much happens in the NFL in four weeks. Injuries, reassessments based on performance. It may seem like "only" a month, but who knows what'll happen then. The least likely outcome would actually be that the decision is made as if it were made today.

Shanahan said he didn’t take Banks into account when considering which receivers the team should carry on its 53-man roster. Instead, Redskins coaches see Banks – who this preseason returned a punt 95 yards for a touchdown and ran back a kickoff 58 yards -- as a specialist, one who is too valuable to risk by playing him at multiple positions.

Kazoo ya boy Donte Stallworth has 20 catches over the last 2 seasons. 2 of those 20 catches were last year with the Raisins. Yeah he is a beast dude.. LOL!!!!! HE IS TERRIBLE....

Last year, the Panthers wanted to sign Davis to their active roster (their 53), but he chose to start on our ps.

Just because a team wants a guy on your ps it doesn't mean they can just take him, he has to agree to go. Now most players would jump at the chance to go to a tam that is offering them a spot on their active 53, but obviously they don't always, because Davis didn't last year.

I'm sure if there is one we know of there are plenty we don't.

I remember this, for what it's worth. Not sure if it was Carolina, but I remember him choosing to join the PS over going to some team's 53-man roster. He said the Redskins presented a better opportunity.

I'll take you guys' word for it, but that's really shocking. I guess we do pay better than most teams for our PS players.

We had RB injury issues and he knew he would only be a fill in for the Panthers. He thought he had better odds of sticking in Washington
