My wife was like, "What was all that screaming about last night? It was after midnight. Did the Skins lose?" Normally, I would have done this whole thing where I act really sad and then at the end scream "We won, We won!" But this morning I couldn't even act sad. I woke up happy as can be, and I haven't stopped smiling all morning. I feel like a curse has been lifted. I think this is the beginning of our own winning streak against the Pies.

Speaking of journalists, did you realized that after week 1, on the power rankings the Redskins lost a position even after winning the game. Let's see what they do after last night....

I'M HAPPY, SOOOOOOOOO HAPPY.
Hail to the REDSKINS, Hail VICTORY.

That's too funny - I was going to do the same thing!

Except when I got home after the game, my wife started talking about how the cable bill didn't get paid while we were on our honeymoon. She completely ruined my routine. So I had to just tell her - and she knows how crazy I am about my Skins - but what a buzzkill.

I was not near my computer, so I couldn't write:

Jason Buck. Swallowing Aikaman. Who attempts a pass, but pulls it back when he sees Darrell Green cut in front of Irvin...making it a fumble...and Emmitt Smith scrambling to do something with the ball...and the recovery for a Redskin TD. And Jimmy J mussing his hair.

But this was better, I think. The '92 team had all the proven backbone of any team ever...SB defending champs...injuries every which way..Mark Screreth playing the season with a broken bone in his leg.

That team had the Hogs and the Piglets (Sclereth and Ed Simmons and Ray Brown, the baby Hogs). This team has an OL that still runs up about five or more illegal procedure penalties a game. This OL let its QB get hammered.

So maybe this was more of a surprise.

Oh, so much fun.

(And don't forget Walt Garrison having a meet&greet with Kenny Houston at the goal line...how about those three games for Dallas prizes?)

This is the thread I couldn’t wait to read when I got home from Dallas. Some of you should be ashamed of yourself you know who you are (Champsturf). While I was disappointed in the way the Skins were playing I kept the faith…Ask the Hogettes I got up in the fourth quarter and said “come on we can do this”!! I can’t tell you how much fun it was to be in Texas Stadium on a night that the Skins steal a game from the cowboys!!

I sure am glad you picked me out to be one of the ones that should be ashamed because I never would've thought to be. I am NOT ashamed in the least. I don't think we want to count on miracles to happen with less than 4 minutes to go. I still don't think Brunell should've been in there. I don't think (obviously we'll never know) that we would've been in that situation if Ramsey was in there and Gibbs was calling plays to throw the ball downfield.

I gave Brunell props and am VERY glad we won, but I still disagree with te QB change.

Sorry if you don't agree.

I totally disagree, I have never been in a Stadium that was so loud. Ramsey would have fallen apart. On a night were our O'line didn't play well, Brunell made many plays with his legs that Ramsey would not have. The main reason I singled you out was for you "Gibbs penis" remark...totally uncalled for!! But hey, it seems you're back on the bandwagon. Call me stupid, but I'm a Skins fan and will always cheer for my team. No matter what the record is!!

It's obvious you won't believe in Joe or his decisions about who atarts at QB, but at least try to adhere to the rules of the board.

A lot of the content of your posts was certainly not rated "PG", which is what THN tries to have in the public forums. Next time use better judgment, and post your "adult-themed" content in Smack.

While it's okay to disagree on the team's personnel decisions, it ain't cool to have to unexpectedly read offensive material. My 2 cents

Bandwagon??? I think not. I've be a loyal fan to this TEAM for 20+ years and have never left. I am NOT a fairweather fan. I'm sorry if you and others didn't like my remarks, but I was writing exactly how I felt about things. I like to be honest and upfront, unlike others here. I know that there were many more Brunell haters last year that have now decided that Gibbs is almighty and made a correct decision in benching Ramsey. That is what the bandwagon is for.

I was rooting for my team the entire game, but honestly didn't think we'd pull it off. I was sure the Cowboys would get either a call or big play and win. It's not like that has never happened before. I'm glad Brunell manned up and made 2 throws that he's being paid handsomely to make. I gave him his props and still disagree with the decision. My right to do so, I think. You can't honestly say that Ramsey couldn't have gotten it done, just as I can't say he would've. All we can do is speculate and give our opinions.

Just be glad I wasn't one of those annoying people that change their font color to grab people's eyes.

I have to admit though, your color has made my reading quicker. I now longer read anything in a different color. I only read this because my post was quoted.

What was NOT "PG" that I wrote? Last time I checked, "PG" stands for "parental guidance suggested." I used no profanity or symbols standing for such. Get over yourself or have you Mom pre-read everything for you.

So a loyal fan says this….

Was that Gibbs' penis I saw in Brunell's mouth

So you’ve been a fan for 20 years and in that 20 years Gibbs brought you 3 SB wins in 4 trips and you say…

We suck. Gibbs is done. Bring in Williams and let's move forward

Just another sign that the NFL has passed him by

So your not fair-weather?? The Skins come from behind and take the lead and you say…

You don't really think our D will hold, do you?
Remember last year with Crayton?

Of course I didn’t expect to hear anything from you because you said…

After tonight, you don't have to worry about reading anything from me. I'll be reading but not writing until Ramsey or Campbell is in. THIS SUCKS and I'm really getting sick of it.

If that weren't enough two games into the season we're 2-0 and your sig sasy...

As I've said before, there's always next year.

Look CS I have no problem with you being frustrated with a Redskins performance…imagine how frustrated I was sitting in Texas stadium? But saying those things about Gibbs….and then not having faith in our D?? Hell I feel so much better when the game is in our D hands instead of the O.
Admit it you bailed on your team!! Maybe it was easier for me because I was there but I never lost faith!!

Why would I have had any faith in Gibbs at that point? His playcalling is sad. We got two deep threats in the offseason to throw 10 yard comebacks and WR screens?

I agree about our D. It's much better than our O, but like I said, remember last year? And we dominated that game and still lost. Why would I think that we could hold on to win when we GOT dominated for 56 minutes? The refs could've easily cost us that game. Actually, Parcells and his playcalling let us hold even have a chance to win. 50 seconds off the clock was all?

As far as my sig is concerned, that's been that way since about Week 8 of last year. I have more pressing issues than changing my name (as I would like) and my sig.

Again, I LOVED what Gibbs did for us years ago and I really thought we were on on way. Then he goes back on his word about the starting QB to bring in a proven noodle arm. His play calling still doesn't seem to suit Portis or our speedy WRs.

I'll never give up being a fan, but I can disagree with Gibbs just as much as a lot of you think he can do no wrong.

As far as admitting that I bailed on OUR team, NO! Why else would I have kept watching? Don't you think there was a small part of me actually thinking that we could hold on and win?

Can we just drop this and be happy that we won?

As a Skins fan... I'll never loses faith Why? Because we have two deep threats to go along with Portis and you don't know when they will come into play.

This wasn't last season and that wasn't the same team from Texas. Regardless you can't lose faith in a defense that had only given up a few FGs and a trick play in 2 games - Not if it's your team

You could have explained this away by simply saying it was emotions -but you try to defend it when no true redskin fan would have made SOME of those post

The downside of the Cowpuke win is that it prolongs the delusion that Brunell won't doom our season if Gibbs sticks with him. He will. I'm afraid the D may be a tad weaker than last year...I was really bothered by the lack of rush against both the Bears and the Pukes. We're going to need more than the 0 to 14 point I think Brunell might be capable of getting us each week, especially since I'm convinced he can't play four quarters without costing us 3 points or more with interceptions or bonehead plays. What really bothers me though is that I'm convinced his presence on the field will allow defenses to cheat up and close off our running game, possibily killing Portis. Those miracle passes will never happen again. I think we're a team on its way down...fast. After this season, we're going to have more players than just Ramsey wanting to jump ship. I think Portis will ask for a trade, if living.
