illlegal snap:
The snap should be a quick, continuous, backwards movement of the ball from its position on the ground in which the ball immediately leaves the hands of the snapper and touches a backfield player or the ground before it touches an offensive team lineman. The most common illegal snap occurs when the snapper starts to move the ball, then stops, then starts again. This double-clutch is not a continuous movement.
Dead ball foul--5 yards from the previous spot repeat the down.
