Wow, great coverage to down it on the one!

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind. The coverage team lost sight of the ball in the air and just stood around instead. :(

Until then, I consider this a bad practice.

Riggins, who probably knows Gibbs better than any of us, isn't sounding positive about any of this. He even suggested we could be looking at 1-4 to start the season (at least he thinks we can still beat the Texans!!!).

When I come home after watching the Redskins beat the Vikings by 2 TDs on MNF, I want to see a thread called "JPM36 you were absolutely right"

That's all I ask.

I don't consider Minnesota to be a very good team. They just lost their first round pick for the season, and their #1 WR just got cut. Plus, their QB is older than ours!! The Vikings are one of those teams we should beat, no question.

While I hate them, I think the Cowboys have some talent this year (now I feel dirty having typed that). When we beat them, then you'll have been absolutely right.

I'm worried about the Cowboys game, don't get me wrong. But our preseason performance has nothing to do with that. If we were killing teams every week of the preseason, I'd still be worried about any trip to Dallas. That's always going to be a tough game.

I missed the most of the 1st Q. Did Lonie punt as poorly as Frost?

Could Gibbs Have It Up His Sleeve To Start Jason?

Barring an injury to Brunell, no chance in . . . that hot place.

Gibbs likes veteran QBs. That's the end of it.

Your reading skills need work. I said when, not if.

Ouch! But it does not really hurt because it is not for real.

We have had good preseasons and awful seasons before. Let us see the opposite happens this time.

I expected INTENSITY and we got it...

Well We Don't Exactly Look Like Killers Out There. While pukes have looked um...Well they've won some preseason. Gibbs has got to be livid.

From Saunders himself....

"We know what the scheme is and we know what we can do schematically," said Saunders, whose offense was ranked among the AFC's best the past five years in Kansas City. "I don't want to go into a preseason game and rely on a system or a scheme to be successful, because then you're fooling yourself. What I want to see from our players is, who can block mano a mano ? Who can win one-on-one in pass routes? Can the quarterback throw the ball accurately under pressure. Can the runner make a guy miss in the open field?

"What we're doing is very basic football, but it's important football, because every one of our players, especially the offensive line, has to be so sound fundamentally that we can move on and expand what we do from a schematic standpoint."

Well, some guy (Pat Cobbs) who may not even make NE's team has now run for more yards than all our RBs combined. And NE's back-up QB has just as many yards as our starter, w/ less than half the number of attempts.

But I'm not worried.

I believe so, which goes against the other thing I look for in preseason -- gradual improvement from game to game.
