All and all, our 1st sting Dfense looked good and everything else needs work. Even 1st string "o"

The biggest problem with partial dislocations is that they come with the same soreness and weakening as the full displocations do.
The biggest difference is that nobody had to pop it back in for him.
I'm no doctor...but I've seen it before.
Up close and personal!

...and apparently, they teach how to properly spell the word, too! Which country is that? ROTFALMAO
First time I ever saw it spelled right! What, a George Jones fan?

All 3 QBs threw a pick. But JC has the highest completion % right now (and would've completed even more if he wasn't throwing to 3rd stringers and soon-to-be cut guys). He's at least ready to go to No. 2 on the depth chart.

Okay, we lost 19-3. It's clear that Joe Gibbs has lost his touch and that we're doomed to finish dead last in the league.
Hopefully, nobody gets too worked up over this. I'm just glad to see the season is just around the corner.

did Portis just take a shot at Gibbs, when he said he felt like he played in a football game he had no bussines in.

Brandon Lloyd polishing Chris Samuels head. Priceless.

Clinton seems to be in good spirits.

It doesn't seem to be too serious especially since they mentioned him possibly playing next week.

Where did u hear that? Did they say that on the NBC telecast?

Redskins.com although I doubt they know what they're talking about.

No. He's just mad b/c he's hurt. He knows he needed to be in there. This is his first year in this offense and that will be explained to him. This will be the last we hear of that talk.

I think he is just upset about the whole situation.

This is only preseason, but I was in regular season form at the sports bar. I actually yelled expletives at the screen when Todd Collins was in there. God he looked horrible. He threw three balls to a Bengals D-Lineman. :?

Maybe he's gonna be the Next Big Thing...but I sure would like to see a little less willingness to throw it straight into a DB, and a little more work in the check downs.
In all, for the first time that I've ever seen him, I guess I agree that his arm strength is right there with the hype.
The decision making will come with age and time on the job.
He is certainly more ready to be the #2 than the guy before him!

I totally disagree. If they are going to run a watered down, vanilla version of the offense and only give Portis a carry or two then there is absolutely no need for him to be in there. Like the commentators said, running backs need the least amount of work in these games. No reason to risk having something like this happen, especially in the first preseason game.

if anything he was taking a shot at the NFL, quite a few players are saying the Pre-season is unnessary

every team has their starting rb in for the most part at the begining of the preason games so its in no way Gibbs' fault.

What to do next game:

I say that we start the backups next week to avoid injury but we also have to make cuts next week and this will give the coaches extensive look at players.

The way he got injured was a fluke and could not have been forseen, but players like Portis shouldn't be out there.

I didn't see Chad Johnson out there.

...and you'll find more than one player in the league that agrees with you. You'll find others who say there's no need to practice, either.
I'm throwing my lot in with the people who see it as CP being upset with the injury, and how frightening that must've been for him, initially.
He's got a lot of heart, making that tackle the way he did...and the adrenaline was still flowing during the interview.
Cooler heads prevail.

no, it is brunell's fault. that interception was beyond inexcusable, and portis was just trying to clean up brunell's mess.

now before i get crucified, i am not saying i hate brunell, or that he shouldn't be playing. i'm just saying that one play, that one throw, was his fault. it is his fault portis got injured. portis would never have been tackling someone otherwise.
