I don't know... Ware is a great player and he has been shooting up a lot of draft boards.
They picked a buy who was a hybrid as expected, but some people may be surprised at which one they chose. Playing at a small school (Troy) is his biggest 'negative'.
unfortunately, I personally think this was a decent pick for the Cowboys, though I'm surprised they passed on merriman.
San Diego might make it a short wait for Merriman to hear his name though... they need receiver help and defensive line help and it's likely that the top 3 WRs being off the board might steer them in the direction of defense.
Especially since they choose again at 28 and could still get a decent receiver.
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.
I wish we could have gotten Mike Williams but we got a really good cornerback who will do wonders for us now and in the future. We will get a receiver later.
I'm not gonna cry about it. I think we will have a great draft and a great crop of undrafted free agents.

You take the BEST player available regardless of the position!
Either that or trade down. Carlos Rogers would have been still there by now...
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
I believe that Roddy might fall to that spot. But even if they both don't there are so many good quality athletes in this draft...and don't forget we still have Rod Gardner on our hands...maybe for a late first day pick.

Not everyone has the same philosophy. Some teams believe that you take the best available player no matter what, others have different ones.
I would've liked the Skins to trade down, but no one wanted our pick that much obviously.

Nope and nope.

Yeah, I broke down and am watching the draft yet again (although I don't understand the fascination with it...)
I'm glad to see that whoever had the final call in the room went with Rogers when past history shows this franchise not being able to pass up a pick like Mike Williams. That tells me, again, that Gibbs has the reins -- or at least has edumacated Snyder to the truth of winning football.
25 still will give them an option at WR (Clayton or White both make sense to me) or at QB (which I just can't fathom as being the pick to make here).
I'm thinking we are feeling pretty good at receiver. If so, do we look at DE at 25? Is there gonna be a DE left worth the 25th pick, or do we just go WR because the position is deeper and you can never have enough good WR's?
I think the Texans will get their Carr insurance here.
As for Rogers, the defense cemented one of their few holes, and right now, there are still some very good prospects for the offense... heath miller, Roddy White (that's the UAB guy), even Clayton though he's smallish and a lot like our existing stable.
Miller or White would be great additions at 25 and adding a starting CB and a possible starting WR would be a good start in my opinion.
Hard to believe Aaron Rodgers is still on the board... the Packers must have 10 fingers and toes crossed on everyone at lambeau.

Whoever that is, we want him badly enough to mortgage next years 1st pick plus other goodies.
Sorry but my trust and enthusiasm during this draft took a big beating a few picks ago.

If we pick a player like Roddy White at #25 that will only highlight how desperately we need a true GM. Would anyone in their right mind trade next year's #1 (likely a top 20 pick), a 3rd rounder, and a 4th rounder straight up for White, or even Miller, because that is essentially what we've done. No wonder we've only played 2 playoff games in 12 years.
