Well, how about when they line up with Portis out wide and Jacobs in the backfield. There have got to be some good plays with ey's name on them from that formation.
Honestly, I don't know why they don't have more formations with either Thrash or Jacobs lined up back there. Maybe it's because we're having so much trouble with just the fundamental stuff. Portis out towards the end has been done, but it's usually Gardner or Coles on the other side or in the middle. All of a sudden, BAM ! there's a shift, and the nice, weird-looking play falls by the wayside back to your standard 3 out.

If they start in that formation, but shift before the snap enough times, then maybe defenses will relax a bit on paying that formation extra attention. At which point, we POUNCE! hehe
