agreed...his size may be a plus. He seems to run downhill and get lost behind the OL

and yes, what a cool name

I remember him because the first time I saw him he was doing the gauntlet in the RB drill. The one where the coaches stand with the big pads and try to interfere with the RB coming through them, knock them off balance, etc.

I was actually watching the QB toss the ball around when I heard this WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! WHAP! to my left. The players started hooting and I whipped my head around to see Rock come out of the pad tunnel.

I started watching again to see him come back through the rotation, and again... he knocked some of the coaches backwards as he ran through, not one time losing the ball or his balance. The strongest by FAR to run that drill.

When I saw him up close later I had to absolutely do a double take at the size of his legs. He is short, but he has bigger legs than most OL. I have huge thighs from my bodybuilding days, but I mean this guy was big for such a short man. I hoped from that day we found a spot for him.

I'm glad he is getting to show his stuff some.

and on another note, the smashmouth style that rock plays will wear on defenses as games go on, can be a big help with the blitz problems, if they have to have 8 in the box to stop the run.... just a thought

he's just got to work more on his blitz pickups

that should come with time in game situations, i still think if we pound rock up the middle for 2 quarters, blitz happy teams will be a little more shy... not to mention he has the size to block a lb, once he gets his blocking down.

agreed 666, I would love to see some pounding by our offense to wear down our oppositions defense...that's old school REDSKIN football there!
