I don't need anything to feel better. My team's in the World Series.

Look, all I'm saying, is that if blowing a 3-0 lead isn't a choke, then what is?

But whatever, you can sit and look at all your past trophies, if that makes you feel better. Talk about same old BS...

Yes I can, because we have all the trophy's, You'll NEVER know how that feels! Our 1st 3 pitchers pitched great, the Red Sox last 4 did great and good enough to beat us. We lost, we didn't choke! See you in 2022!

I think this is the magical year for the Sox. 1918 was the last time they won a World Series. It's been 18 years since they went to their last one in 1986, and now after 86 years, I think it's time.
Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

I love this. I'm gonna mess with it a little.

Yeah, and we beat y'all 19 to 8.
Oy, is there a number missing to make it 1918 ?
Okay. We "1". :D

The numbers thing is a little silly, especially now to a Yankee fan. :(

Let's see.

After being up 3-0 in a best of seven series, the Yankees proceeded to lose four straight games. In those games:

They had the lead in the eighth or ninth inning in games 3 and 4.

They played the last two games in Yankee Stadium.

They lost two starts in which Derek Lowe was the opposing pitcher.

They lost to their favorite son and a guy who could barely walk.

They lost games in 12 and 14 innings, the first of which they stranded 20 runners.

They failed to score more than four runs in the last four games, despite leading the league in home runs.

They had the highest payroll in league history and led the American League in wins.

Listen that obviously makes YOU feel better, even your own Red Sox fans disagree with you. When you make it to the playoffs 8 years straight it isn't "choking" when you lose. You can dwell on that as long as you want, every person (Sox Fan or not) with a brain knows the truth. YOU obviously don't know what "choke" means! "Choke" is when you're 1 out away from winning the WS and you let a routine ground ball go through your legs! Not losing 4 games straight to a good team. Once again YOU'RE saying that the Yankess are the better team, but we lost because we "choked".

Now let put your response for you......

Are you kidding me? I NEVER said that, and you know it. I don't know if you think that's funny or what, but making up a quote for someone is completley out of line.

That's straight bush league. If you have anything else to say to me, bring it to Smack.

I don't know what you want. At least I was man enough to admit when I was wrong.

If you're still bitter about the "choke" thing, put a poll with this question:

"Is it fair to say the Yankees "choked" against the Red Sox?"

Let's see what the people think.

Regardless, I have moved on. I love you Mark Bellhorn!

Your opinion means nothing, that's the only thing you can say, you can make a poll if YOU want, I already know the truth! Every year that the Yankees beat the Sox (just since 96), do you consider those "chokes"??????? I don't! We out-played, out-pitched, out-hit & maybe got a little lucky too. This year the Sox got us, I admitted that already! I wouldn't make the excuse that the Red Sox "choked" all those years, they didn't "choke" they got beat!

When you make your poll, make the 2nd question "or did they get beat by a better team"????

Have fun, I won't respond to your pointless "choke" posts, anymore, in fact, I won't even open this thread anymore! What you have to say next will be more crap.

You can keep telling me the Yanks "choked" if you want, thats just translates to, "The Red Sox didn't win because they are better, they won becauses the Yankees "choked". Now don't try to convert that & say "Ant said the Yankees suck" like you did last time! I'm just breaking down what you're saying!

And for the second time, I didn't say that, Redskins Rule did. Maybe my opinion is "crap" and you do "know the truth", but please don't attribute things to me I didn't say...

Boy, what a head-job you guys are doing on poor Ant. Don't you have any compassion for a die-hard fan whose team just lost ?
Ooooh. Deja Vu. You'd think we as 'skins fans would know better.

Drew Henson did it. If Henson had just been at 3rd base, the Yankees would have won.

Of course, the Yankees had no pitchers other than Mussina and Rivera -- one starter and one reliever won't carry you far.

- Ted Lilly for Jeff Weaver

- Top AAA prospect (Clausen?) for Aaron Boone

- Clemens

- Pettite

Yes, the Red Sox had much better pitching. No fluke, no Yankee-choke...just good pitching by Boston and poor pitching by the Yankees.
