Bingo gundo! JPF has (repeatedly) pointed out (and I totally agree) that the problems are with the team not playing well or together.

When the team starts playing together AND eliminating mistakes, IMO, Mark will still be the QB! That being said, I really like Patrick and do think that Joe sees that potential as well.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

As comparisons, Ramsey's career number is 72.7. His best year was 2003 (75.8 QB rating). These numbers do not lie. Brunell is the better QB right now.

You know...I've had German Shepards all my life and when they became aged I had to realize that they simply could not chase a trespasser away anymore. I either had to hope that their bark did the job or get a younger dog. I think it's time for the younger dog.

...To tell yall the truth, teams are stacking 8 in the box, cause they also 'assume' Brunell cant throw deep.

Right now I'd rather take shots down field as opposed to Brunells three and outs. I wish I can mix the both, like peas and carrots.
We also run the risk of getting Portis hurt, running against 8 men. They stopped 245 pound Jamal and layed hits on him, imagine what will happen to 200+ Portis.

It's funny how the same people who rung out Spurrier for his "chuck and duck" methods are ringing our Gibbs for not gambling enough downfield. Will you ever be happy with the coach's philosophy?

IMO, Spurrier proved that in today's NFL, you can't gamble downfield unless you make the defense respect your running and short passing game. Vermeil's/Martz's Rams ruined it for Spurrier and everyone else who want to pass-first. Defenses even 5 years ago did not pass blitz as much as they do now. The way to exploit pass blitzes is by running the ball and hitting the short passes. (The more things change, the more they stay the same.) This is exactly what Gibbs is trying to do, but the players are sinply not executing.

Maybe Gibbs changes his philosophy and starts passing first, but I seriously doubt it. If the players execute, the deep passing game will be given the opportunity. But, it's one step at a time. Right now, the Skins' offense can't get past step 1.

I think teams respect our run so much they continue to put 8 men in the box. Teams dont respect our passing, that is why they put 8 men in the box.

The only way to open up our running is to clear out as many defenders as possible. Just watch Baltimore tonite and then you'll see what I mean.

Brunell has more time in the pocket than any QB I've seen to date, just to throw a short 2 yard incompletion.

One other thing, the diffrence between Joe & SOS is that teams expect Joe to run and SOS to Pass with no protection.

Last year SOS had no protection and we could not get off a pass. This year we have plenty of time and we dont go down field. Teams control us using a 46 defense and this is the wrong answer.
