I got your joke redskins4ever!

I used it myself yesterday when I was watching the game. I didn't say he was calling the plays but I did think maybe the guys picked up the wrong play book there at the end. It was more the turnovers and the running QB that made me have my flashbacks though. Either way I did say "Here we go again!" Let's hope they don't resemble the team last year at ALL this week!

Was Spurrier coaching?
Not quite, that's a pretty bad title for a thread. You can't blame yesterdays loss on coaching, Gibbs didn't turn over the ball 7 times and tell the offensive line to not block. That was the worst performance of the Redskins offense I have ever seen, no pass protection, no blocking for Portis and how many dropped passes?
The defense played outstanding, with that many turnovers the Giants should have won the gave by 3 or 4 TDs, but thanks to the "D" it wasn't a blowout. The Giants only scored one TD with their offense and that was the only good play they even had.
I read where Gibbs is taking as much blame as anyone else, that's a TRUE coach even though I don't think it was his fault at all.
What has happened to Ramsey? Last year he was sacked more times than not and still passed more yards than most QBs with great protection. This year he looks terrible, I think Gibbs needs to leave him in and build up his confidence and he will be a great QB, and you all know we need a great QB.

Look... Calling Gibbs, Spurrier.... is like insulting your(and everyone elses) mother.... This is why you got such flack from everyone... if you want to keep up with the "Spurrier Theory", then you'll probably keep recieving flack from members..... If you think maybe you said something stupid, admit it, apologize to your mother, wash your mouth out with soap, smack yourself on the hand, and walk away......

We looked great after the first drive, we looked great stopping them on 4th down, then the Brunell fumble and NY quick strike. From that point on the flood gates opend and anything that could go wrong did.
Sometimes this happens and I don't think we looked like a Sprurrier coached team. I just think we looked like a bad team. A team that couldn't make the plays when we needed to, a team that hasn't matured and grown together yet, a team that needs some work.
My towel however is staying in the hall closet with the rest of them where it belongs.

and there is the answer to my "bad title as a thread"question.review your statement and then think of spurrier ..... ther you have it. that was my point.

redskinz4ever I didn't take your title seriously, I knew what you meant. But you have to admit that the coaching fiasco of the Redskins for the past ten years is a sore subject, Turner, Shottenhiemer, Spurrier.... none of them hold a candle to Gibbs and all of us know that.
Yesterday did look like the Redskins of yesteryear, something we all thought we would never see again with Gibbs and wish we could erase the past decade. In any case, it truly wasn't even close to a coaching issue yesterday, it was plain and simple poorly played football by the players..... namely the offense.
I'm not jumping on you, we are all fans here and have the same goal, I think we are all just upset over such a poor performance yesterday.

Marty didn't get a fair shot at it. I'm not saying he's as good as Gibbs, but we were going in the right direction. He also started out 0-5 and finished the season 8-8. The next year... Who knows? The Danny wanted to have his power over team decisions back. Hiring Spurrier was a huge mistake, but it led us to this point and having Joe back, so in the long run it all worked out.

First... If you want to keep talking to me like I'm some kind of a moron... we can go that route... I was just letting you know why you were recieving so much flack from everyone, did I insult you? i don't think so.... but if you insist on refering to me as slow... well, we can tengo if you'd like....
Second you did compare the two, Joe Gibbs was calling the plays yesterday, right? You referred to him and his play calling as if he was Spurrier.... Let's stand firm if this is your belief, not dance around the meaning of what you said...
And respecting someone and how they live their lives, and how they carry themselves is not childish.... childish is not being able to admit when your wrong...
stay cool...

Calm down guys.
Frustrations can lead all of us to write something either plain wrong or that can trigger a lot of misinterpretations.
Writing your frustrations out is not bad. I share the pain of yesterday's loss. My family could hardly put up with me after the game.
This is my way of getting all of my emotions out. It is my catharsys.
I do not feel that anybody in this thread really meant any disrespect. I do not doubt the loyalty of each and every one of you. Let us take it easy. Lat us rally together. I have said many times that if anybody can pull it together, it will be Joe and his staff.
It is not bad at all that they know how we feel.
But it is not bad either that they know that they have our support for the next game against Dallas. I will be cheering wherever I am. I want them to play well and I want them to win.
