scottskins, i understand the scoring points concept, but i had new englands d in one of my leagues last year. if it wasn't for the shutouts and keeping their opponents under 7 alot of times, i wouldn't have won some of my games. all i was getting at was that in some of those tight weeks, knowing your D will get you an extra 7-10 points is a good thing. but, it sounds like your league is a little different than mine, i get 10 for a shutout, instead of 6. do you get points when your D records a sack, or interception? my leagues do, and that also helped out a few times last year.

our league is as follows

1 pt. for an INT/FR
1 pt. for a sack
6 pts. for a TD
6 pts. for a shutout

Special teams also count as defense, so KR and PR also score you 6.

I've never even heard of getting points for holding the opponent under 7. That's an interesting idea.

Our league has been playing pretty much together for about 16 years now and it's pretty basic. We don't do a lot of the "extra" scoring like some others do, such as getting more points for longer TDs, field goals etc...

I can see how you'd value KC lower in your system. If you don't get Dante Hall's TDs, and get points for low scoring, KC woulda been pretty low on the list.

special teams is a completely different story in the leagues i'm in. we do get points for the returns and return yds, but basically, i'd have to have hall listed as a WR, to get those points. hell if you consider returns part of defense, then you can't go wrong with KC. hall is a beast.

yeah he is =)

Only problem now is KC is really low on WR's. Hall may be a starting WR now, and they are saying he might not return kicks. So the KC defense may be a bust for me. It's all good, I think with the addition of Taylor, and the blizting D, the skins might score a few more defensive TDs and sacks this season ;-)

true. just be sure to pick and choose your defense for the week carefully.
and how could they not let hall return kicks. he's probably the best in the league at it.

You could have gotten Cooley with the last pick in the draft, like I did, unless your league is filled with other 'Skins fans. Overall, I got 8 'Skins, but in my league D players can score just like the O players.

Here's my list of Skins:
Brunell
Coles
Betts
Cooley
Hall
Washington
Taylor
Pierce
